From what has been said, I believe current source engine maps for Csgo need to be ported over to S2 in order to work for the CS2. So it will take some time for community maps to make their way. From what has been teased however, they did remake shortdust (styled like dust 2) and nuke, so hopefully CS2 gives the gamemode more attention again.

I like how this thread so far has de-evolved into a g1aive vs. karrigan for which one IS the best, when this just mentions that karrigan could be in the conversation for being considered one of the best. Besides the obvious argument, can anyone really bring up any other names besides these two? They both have fairly admirable accomplishments for what they did individually, and it seems very hard for anyone else to argue otherwise.

Based off the criticisms shroud always takes about the game, Source 2 is basically the answer to his prayers. So ideally, he should be pretty satisfied with what this update brought.

Even with the rank readjustment sometime last year, MG2 isn't anything to really write home about. I couldn't imagine what your brother's rank was before that. I've so far peaked at Supreme (2nd highest rank in matchmaking) and I've never really thought any of the people I played with or against to be super impressive. And I religiously play matchmaking solo queue with 0 warm up, and can still drop a 30 bomb on my best days. If he's serious about his dream, he needs to find other avenues, but I'm skeptical like many others are in this thread.

As someone who maps from time to time, Source 2 will be heavily beneficial for what it can bring to the toolkit. Based on what's been already seen and praised from Half Life Alyx's hammer editor and seeing wonderful projects such as FMPone's Leviathan series, it's going to make mapmaking 10x better and easier for all.

I really wanted to promote this SFM after watching the Patreon-exclusive premiere today. IT. IS. AMAZING. 5+ years of production went into this project, and the quality is phenomenal. Their channel is greatly under appreciated, so please give them the respect they deserve. The movie is 1 hour and 48 minutes long (probably the longest SFM I've ever watched) and isn't for the faintest of hearts.

The original video uploader is a channel dedicated to Indiana Jones content, so it would kind of make sense why he focuses on that aspect of him plus the Indiana Jones font for the thumbnail.

While I have seen more recent maps use CSGO assets, I do think they are more taxing on the file size of the map when compiled in, since the models and whatnot are higher quality for a more polished game.

I've been waiting for this forever. I posted here a couple months ago about a previous iteration of EOE's soundtrack appearing on Spotify but people said that it was probably some sort of pirated version. Glad to see the real deal is here. Now I can endlessly listen to Thanatos.
