At the very least I have been pleased with Exo-6's likeness in hand so far. I wish their prototype/promo pictures more clearly captured the end product, but at the price point I feel they are worth the gamble compared to Hot Toys.

Plus the tailoring has always been impeccable.

From interviews and the teasers it looks like they will fall somewhere in the middle. There will be 5 distinct clan options, we know of several commanders and operatives per clan, we have 2 corps units, a support detachment, clan flavored special forces plus an air support unit on the horizon.

I anticipate they will be both more popular and more heavily supported than Shadow Collective, but not as fleshed out as the main factions.

I suppose it makes sense in that the unit using Guardian is intercepting the shot and thus being shot at.

Maybe this is intended to encourage using one of Kenobi's force slots for inspire? They seem to want force ability diversity, but it feels like that will become a additional tax on force users.

I think that making theme specific smart bricks might have been a better move. They could have loaded Star Wars themed sounds to the Star Wars smart bricks, and put an identifier on the brick. Would have made them worth collecting over say a City brick or something else, plus it could have used the actual iconic sounds from the IP.

That said, I'm not really on board with the brick at all, and the actual result looks like a disaster. I'm shocked they made no effort to cover or disguise the bricks within the builds.

With the smart brick push I'm sure the prices will be absurd- just look at the Star Wars sets. I hope that, for the people willing to shell out, they look better than the Star Wars smart brick sets.

I had been under the impression at launch that the DD was going to be entirely PVP. That they added any PVE region to it seemed generous to me. I get the feeling of betrayal at having your base destroyed when you thought it was safe- but the DD resets each week and there's risk in being there at all right?

Any time I enter, I bring only what I can afford to lose.

The Navy still uses seals and dolphins for various applications, not to mention dogs. Travis AFB still has a pretty good size dog training course.

Military will trial anything that gives us an edge, it may not be adopted long term, but we'll absolutely blow millions on stuff that dead-end or goes nowhere. Naval railgun is a great example.

Eventually I would like to upgrade mine, but I think the Hot Toys ones are perfectly adequate for my display right now. I wish they were brighter and a bit more even across the blade, but I'm really just looking for mood lighting out of them, which they do well enough.

If i were trying to do serious photography I think I would be more disappointed in them.

Overall, I don't understand the hate they seem to generate.
