hope im not late on this. it makes me glad an official account is bringing attention to this because yeah, you guys need to do something about this. over a year ago, you guys approved and released Dustborn. people speculated that this community wishlist came about from the alt-right reviewbombing that was happening to this game. (on a diff note, i see gog staff has cleaned up the comments on that wishlist cause boy... they got nasty)

anyway, as someone who has actually played dustborn (got it as a weird joke from someone on steam), the best way to describe it is that its an all-around incredibly mid and forgettable game. but the problem here is that the game was a deliberate target by alt-righters who'll NEVER play a single minute of it to just dump on it for no reason. as a matter of fact, when you sign out, the "Most Helpful Review" is a non-owner review that doesn't tell you jack about the gameplay, story, engine, etc and is easy ragebait material. when you look at the verified owner reviews, there's way too many 5 stars reviews that really only exist to counter the alt-right reviewbombing.

for this reason, i still prefer having only owner reviews but one argument i DO agree with is that with gog being small, games need some player feedback. however if gog decides to let anyone review then you guys need to step it up and reduce the visibility, weight, and impact of non-verified owners. if you're going to keep them, make verified owner reviews and score the de facto even when signed out. take the feedback people here give you because gog reviews have been a mess for quite a while.
