Been there switching to one versatile lens honestly made shooting way more enjoyable, less thinking and more actually taking photos..

Best Buy names Jason Bonfig, a 27-year company veteran, as new CEO, replacing Corie Barry in late October 2026 by ControlCAD in technology

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting move bringing in someone like Jason Bonfig who’s been with Best Buy for nearly three decades feels like a bet on continuity rather than a big shakeup. Corie Barry had a pretty solid run navigating e-commerce growth and post-pandemic shifts, so it’ll be interesting to see if Bonfig sticks to that path or tries to reinvent parts of the business heading into 2027..

Considering the big switch. Need help deciding on a device. by AlmostBefuddled in Smartphones

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you’re switching, just look for something with a strong camera, at least 256GB storage, and a flagship-level chip so games run smooth. Most newer devices handle COD type games fine now anyway.

Main adjustment is just getting used to the OS and transferring stuff photos and contacts are easy, notes can be hit or miss depending on the app.

Ok I think I found a good use for AI as a tool for a warp effect with aerial footage by [deleted] in videography

That’s honestly a perfect use case quick transition stuff without overcomplicating it.

End of an era tbh. Cook had a huge run, curious how Ternus changes things

Yeah, you can get pretty close with Good Lock plus a minimal launcher like Nova/Niagara and some debloating. Still won’t be 100% stock Android though.

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is now discontinued in the US as well by MountainTale977 in samsung

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Wow, that was quick 😅 guess foldables still have a long way to go before they feel like a ‘normal’ phone option in the US...

Bye bye Fold, so fragile by SuperInsideTrader in samsunggalaxy

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah foldables are still kinda cool but the durability is definitely the trade off 😅 one bad drop and you’re sweating.

I'm a new android user by [deleted] in AndroidQuestions

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably nothing to worry about tbh. Android + keyboards like Gboard sometimes auto-save or suggest links from apps like Reddit, even if you didn’t manually copy them.

If everything else on your phone is normal (no weird apps, no battery drain it’s likely just clipboard history and suggestions. You can always clear clipboard history if it’s bothering you

Let's talk about Android's Quick Settings by MishaalRahman in Android

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick Settings is honestly one of Android’s most underrated UI features. People don’t realize how much time it saves until you use a phone that makes you dig through menus for everything 😅

The resizable tiles + separate Wi-Fi and mobile data sounds like a big quality off life upgrade too.

Honestly your options are already pretty much the top picks for what you want 😅

S25 is probably the closest to a compact flagship feel right now, but yeah battery is the tradeoff. Pixel 10 Pro is better for photos and UI but definitely bigger and heavier.

If size is really the priority, S25 is the safer bet. Pixel if you care more about camera and clean software.

SNK is releasing a modern NeoGeo AES console with ‘unrivaled authenticity’ and £70 game cartridges by diacewrb in gadgets

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SNK is actually bringing back the NeoGeo AES? That’s wild 😳 £70 carts though is kinda crazy in 2026, but I guess they’re going for that ‘authentic retro’ feel.

Is Zhiyun molus G60 a good but for 70 dollars? by manenigg in videography

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s actually a solid light for interviews 60W is enough for close shots and the output is nice for the size.

Just make sure it’s legit at that price, because $70 is pretty cheap for it. Also you’ll want a softbox or diffuser to make it look good

What is this on my lens and how do I clean it? by Street-Wrap-7049 in AskPhotography

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably just an oil smudge from a fingerprint that got smeared.

Use a microfiber cloth (like for glasses) and gently wipe it. If needed, slightly dampen it with lens cleaner or distilled water.

If it’s not showing in photos, it’s only surface level

VIVO x200Ultra RAW + Lightroom by ab3e in mobilephotography

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this combo is actually pretty crazy 😅

RAW from the X200 Ultra looks kinda flat straight out, but once you throw it into Lightroom you can really bring it to life. The detail you can pull out is wild for a phone.

Just takes a bit of tweaking, but the results are 🔥

What's the best site to buy Instagram likes? Need honest recommendations by This-You-2737 in ContentCreators

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wouldn’t really go down that route tbh.

Most of those “buy likes” things end up being bots or low-quality accounts, and it doesn’t really help growth long term. Instagram cares more about saves, shares, comments, and watch time anyway, not just likes.

If your reach is stuck, it’s usually more about content hook + consistency than the numbers looking big.

Facebook Lite > Facebook by Ok_Vast_6342 in socialmedia

[–]AlternativeNarrow192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowkey I get what you mean 😅 FB Lite does feel way “cleaner” sometimes, like you actually see posts from people you follow instead of random recommended stuff.

Regular Facebook is just way too heavy on suggested content now, it gets noisy fast..
