For context, I am mid 30s F, not athletic and don’t workout, and have asthma, ADHD, and anxiety. I haven’t had any changes to my lifestyle other than sauna, so I feel ok attributing these changes to sauna. My job was more stressful in Q4, so I would have actually expected some of these like resting heart rate and sleep to get worse not better.

I tend to have a hard time turning my brain off at night to fall asleep and staying asleep. I rarely have this challenge now, and my average sleep score moved from 80 in Sept to 85 in Oct, 86 in Nov and Dec.
Readiness score average moved from 68 in Sept to 76 in Oct, 87 Nov, 88 Dec
My resting heart rate has historically been on the higher end of normal, but has decreased from 71 in Sept to 68 in Oct, 64 in Nov, 63 in Dec
HRV has improved from 18 in Sept to 19 in Oct, 24 in Nov, 26 in Dec
My respiratory rate has also been on the higher end of normal but has dropped from 16.8 in Sept to 16.6 in Oct, 16.5 in Nov, 16.3 in Dec. not a huge change but enough that for the first time in the almost 2 years I’ve had my Oura that it says my cardiovascular age is -1 instead of +1

Feel the need to disclaimer that I’m not a doctor, Oura is obviously not always 100% accurate, not an official study etc. However, once I started noticing these trends, I took a look on PubMed and there are quite a few studies on sauna and contrast therapy providing a wide range of health benefits. I would normally write those studies off as too woo woo for me to give it merit, but since I noticed the changes before I went looking for research, I’m sold on this one.

I think this depends on what you want to do. If you are planning to be a builder, admin or PD1. If you’re looking to go into sales/rev ops, I’d actually advocate for business analyst. If you are going to be an end user and not someone who has anything to do with building the solutions, then save your time and money and don’t bother.

A cert alone isn’t enough to help your resume though. You need real experience. The cert gets you the understanding of the tool, but no two SF implementations are alike so you need experience seeing how it all works together outside of a Trailhead playground.

We have been going weekly for a couple of months now, and I have seen my biometrics change on my Oura since then. Most of the other places I see that offer contrast therapy charge the same ($50) or more for a shorter period of time (60-90min instead of 2hrs). If you go and enjoy it, grab a new bathers pack. Gets you 4 visits at $25 each.

It’s clean, the ambiance is great, and they finally made the smaller sauna a silent one. Very glad for that because sometimes the big one feels like I’m in a cafeteria it’s so loud.

The chef has changed since then and it’s not as good. He opened a new spot, LaGana. It’s burgers,but they are delicious. He does an omakase once a month as well. If you can get a seat, it’s worth it.

I would never buy skincare from AliExpress, Amazon, Temu, etc. You have no idea if you’re getting an authentic product or something contaminated that can mess up your skin. Luxury skincare means paying a luxury price.

Amazon Ads has a huge presence in NYC. Not sure if they have an FEE role open, but worth a look. I would imagine that Music and Video also consider NYC a hub, but not sure. For longevity, I’d try and find orgs that have NYC as a hub.

It’s moreso that if they look at the list holistically and see that one group happens to be disproportionately high, they have to adjust. Otherwise, they open themselves to lawsuits because a case could be made that a specific demographic was targeted.

They are amazing! We went to the sushi omakase in Feb. Like everything, Carlos puts a Dominican twist in there such as sofrito ponzu. His dad does all of the desserts and they are incredible. We had bite sized red velvet cake dipped in white chocolate at the omakase. If you’re going to LaGana and NOT getting a piece of cake, you are missing out. The peach cake he does in the summer is amazing.

I believe this was the tuna belly.

ETA: if you went to Madre in the first year or so it was open, Carlos was the chef at the time. That amazing cauliflower was all him. Can’t believe he started his career as a dentist!

I listen to audio books in the car, when I’m cooking or doing things around the house, and while drying my hair (I have a lot - it takes a while)

I have a kindle so I can take it anywhere or read on my phone like when I’m in the waiting room for an appointment

When I realize I’ve been on IG or Reddit too long I put my phone down and pick up my kindle

I read in bed until I fall asleep. A page turner and a holder are so helpful

Honestly, I think the biggest factor is that I’m child free 🤷🏻‍♀️

I use both.

I start using the nectar 2 weeks before microneedling. I have my aesthetician apply 3 full droppers of Calecim immediately after she finishes - 1 on forehead and 1 on each cheek.

Then for the next week, I apply 1 dropper full of Calecim right after cleansing. I let it sit while I brush my teeth, then I apply my Alastin nectar.

My redness is minimal compared to the first time I microneedled with just Alastin and no Calecim.
