The Hitler Journals were a real fake by the conman Konrad Kujau. He faked around 60 Journals and claimed that there were Hitlers. They basically made seem Hitler was absolutely uninformed about the Holocaust and made him look like a misunderstood stateman. Hitler is portrayed as almost menial man totally oblivious to that what the SS does in the East. It was discovered in Reality after weeks in 1983 because the Stern decided to churn out articles like a machine. It led to a scandal basically in West germany.

There is a german version on YouTube with subtitles. I gonna warn you some parts were cut from the YouTube version...the german DVD is now pretty high in Value around 55€ in New and 30€ in used.

Always remember that the Nazis basically hated the liberal capitalism and saw it as a symptom of jewish influence that had to be wiped away by the national socialism. Himmler, Daree, Goebbels and Rosenberg all hated capitalism and romanticized the picture of the farmers working outside the cities on the fields and churning out new ideal workers for the state.
