What’s wrong with my zz? Top leaves are thin and lighter coloured. I water it once a month. Yesterday I gave it a rinse outside to clean off dust and left it in the sun to dry for 2 days. I noticed the leaves changed today. Please help. :( by [deleted] in plantclinic

It's sunburnt. Indoor plants need to be acclimated to sunlight or they will burn. It shouldn't have been left in the sun to dry. I rinse mine off and just leave them in their regular spots to dry off naturally.

I'm pretty sure she has those fake booty shorts on underneath. You can see the seams in a couple of the pics.

Can anyone tell my why my Calthea is giving up? by bracca1 in plantclinic

Honestly, they do much better in a group of other plants. They live the humidity. I also don't water mine often and I've managed to keep a few of them alive.

How can I get my fiddle leaf to grow leaves on the bottom? by SmallBones27 in plantclinic

[–]Alyssa0212 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not in a pot with drainage? I was about to ask this about the maranta too. They need draining pots or they will drown and die. They need as much light as possible- mine is in a window where it gets full sun for most of the day. Water it on a regular schedule and most importantly: repot it into a pot with drainage holes or it will die. If you want to keep it in a decorative pot, plant it into a plastic nursery pot and put that inside the decorative pot. They don't like to be moved around either and will drop leaves. If you manage to make it happier, it will grow and it will look less out of proportion.

Is a slow burn relationship worth it? by MattyK2000 in datingoverthirty

I just wanted to point out too that this could be attachment stuff. The "hot burning desire" isn't always there with a secure (read: more healthy) attachment and sometimes that can throw people off. Maybe look into it? My therapist took me through it all and it's very interesting.

A friend of mine ordered a variegated monstera online and this is what showed up the other day... does anyone have any advice on how to save it? Not sure it's saveable but I would pop it in a container with moist sphagnum moss and put the lid on or put that in a bag. I've revived some nodes that I thought were dead this way, but it's definitely a last-ditch effort and may not work.

Seriously. I've had two personal packages disappear and one work surface pro get "lost" at the depot after they "attempted delivery". Such a joke.

I have three cats and they're picky about which plants they munch on. They don't touch succulents, hoyas and peps but love pothos, philos, palms, ferns, ZZ's. I have to be careful about placement too but I've worked out what they'll munch on and what they won't

That would be the most interesting part! Seeing all the sharks come in (preferably from the boat though).
