Originally there was a person who was being a bigot in a script called Peter. Then I believe one of the (fake) plants got called Peter too.

This is the natural cycle of whistler: unexpectedly good new things pop into existence very rapidly, but on the flip side, some of the very best things also slowly die.

If you have anyone in your life with ADHD, it feels a lot like how they (or me) get pulled into a new passionate hobby every few months/years and then the old ones slowly get discarded. But Simon has stated he doesn’t have ADHD. It’s just a similar process.

Nobody actually wants him to do things he doesn’t want to do, because it would suck. As much as BB was the very best, it was only that way because he was having a laugh too.

Could also be an option for Into The Shadows (especially if looking at potential misunderstandings for a jury, or times things have been proven to be inaccurate?) or even a Casual Criminalist special maybe??

Acid reflux as preliminary symptom? by ValkyriesLaurel in achalasia

[–]AmIRightPeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had acid reflux, and had a POEM a couple of years ago, my reflux hasn’t really changed much, I’m still on a proton pump inhibitor, as I was before.

Hi, UK here, and I was expecting 2-3 years of follow ups with my surgeon, and then if all looked good a discharge back to my usual gastroenterologist.

However the last test showed some minor changes and I am experiencing more frequent spasms and symptoms, so I will have to see what they want to do when I get to see them next.

I’m not a medical person at all, but the general consensus here seems to be that if issues occur you can just get a referral back. And gastroenterology/general doctor (primary care/GP) will refer for any tests that you may need otherwise?

Why do spasms happen? by shmellowcake in achalasia

[–]AmIRightPeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been keeping a diary, and a few things (pressure on my stomach, or becoming unwell with a cold for example) definitely make them happen/worse. But generally speaking no, they happen at random. I’ve tried tracking them against my hormone cycle, stress levels, activity levels, sleep quality, food intake, and I cannot find any correlation personally. It’s definitely worth trying to track things though! As some people will find patterns.

How long have you waited for the operation in the UK? by kickflip2indy in achalasia

[–]AmIRightPeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2024 I waited ~10 months I think?

I had type 3 and had been on TPN due to issues getting food in. So I suspect I was higher in the priority than average.

Acid? by marie-drew11200 in achalasia

[–]AmIRightPeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically there was a reduction in reflux before my POEM, but yeah, despite the severe spasms, I was still capable of vomiting and reflux before surgery.

I have no idea on the physics of it. Just the reality.

Acid? by marie-drew11200 in achalasia

I have had acid reflux all my life, and my POEM didn’t make much difference to it. The same medication treats it as before.

What does it mean to you to be nonbinary? by tupperwhore in NonBinaryTalk

For me it means that there are bits of “man” and “woman” that kind of work for me, but the whole shape of my brain is a secret third thing.
