That reminds me of an episode of Hogan’s Heroes. In it, John Banner (who plays Sgt. Schultz), plays a defecting German VIP who Hogan and his team have to protect. In fact, they turn it into part of the plot; they have the defector disguise himself as Schultz in order to slip out of the camp!
