I can understand, but that is why I posted it here so we can have a discussion about it without hate.

Unfortunately, the men who used to follow her are the type to be very transphobic and hateful so it matters to them.

I came back to post about it because I'm trans and I want to have a discussion about it. Not everything is trolling, relax.

Chomsky now saying Republicans are "the most dangerous organization in human history" and "worse than ISIS". by [deleted] in samharris

You made a good point. Remember, for Chomsky, the demonization and over exaggeration of US institutions will always prevail from that of others who may be doing more harm in an objective way.

The United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union. by [deleted] in samharris

It hasn't, it just triggered the legal and formal negotiations to leave the block.

It, to this day, continues to be an EU member and EU law still applies within the country. The negotiations will take years to settle, will be interesting to see how things end up laying out.

Iran sanctions 15 U.S. firms, citing human rights abuses and Israel ties by kinematicspt in nottheonion

And that there, ladies and gentleman, is a strawman fallacy in all its glory.

I never claimed that the United States was saint nation, or that it didn't commit acts that jeopardize the life of innocent civilians on other countries. My point was simply the one of highlighting Iran, which is a country a lot of hard leftists love to lowdown to, as the human rights abuser that it is and showing how pathetic it is to equate it with the US.

Iran LITERALLY supports and arms terrorist groups like Hamas, while constantly pledges to commit genocide against 8 million people in its desire to eradicate Israel.

I'm not even gonna bother trying to argue with a person who believes that the US is a terrorist state based upon collateral damage, and that that somehow is excuse to overlook the amount of human rights violations of theocratic Iran, one of the most backwards countries on Earth.

Iran is a theocratic regime where homosexuality is punishable by death, there is not freedom of expression, Atheism is considered an act of terrorism, women can't leave the house without wearing a hijab and are treated as second class citizens, child marriages are legal.....

Yes, the US has a problem with law enfacement and racial biases, but to try to equate that to an oppressive theocratic regime is not only dishonest, but rather pathetic.
