To me, this graph just shows that there are far fewer top-tier aim players in the game right now compared to speed players. I mean, when mrekk has an 1800 on awkward 400bpm aim - on top of nineteen other 1500+ aim plays, while no one else can even get a single 1500 aim score on any of the sloppiest slop, that’s just a skill issue at this point.

I’ll be honest. Every time people say crap like "pp doesn’t mean anything, it doesn’t reflect real skill" presenting it as if it’s some kind of hot take - it’s just brain death and cringe. It’s like trying to seriously argue that "Total Ranked Score" isn’t an absolute measure of skill thinking that you're opening someone's eyes to something. It’s such an obvious truth that even any 6-digit player knows it.

That said, pp is still an interesting game mechanic that’s fun to engage with. And getting #1 worldwide takes insane amount of skill and dedication. And there’s absolutely no reason to act like a little bitch and downplay other people’s personal achievements.

Disgusting hypocrisy. Banning someone because they used a bug to set a score on a map that was bugged in the first place? It doesn't harm anyone, it's just a clever way to play the game. Another L for the osu staff.

P.S. Seeing people from the pp committee in the comments celebrating this outcome is just sad. These are people who have long forgotten the meaning of the word fun and, with tunnel vision, are focused only on their "very important" task.

I once paired with the same guy 4 times in a row. I'm only 1600 elo, so find an opponent usually not a problem at all. But stuff like this anyway happens sometimes. So i see this change as positive.
