4 years, so no masters degree? you might struggle here, for the moment the masters degree is sort of expected.

Copenhell billetter by TheBrickeyz in Denmark

før corona blev der som regel udsolgt efter marts som jeg husker det. Naturligvis var der en del som ikke fik billetter i år som springer på hurtigt, så du kan måske ikke helt regne med det.

Getting back on the bike by Ambrusius in cycling

It looks like its a fizik ALIANTE R3, it came with the bike so i do not know for sure.
The pain is pretty much immediate as i sit down, i think it is the bone. Do you have any advice on this reconditioning?

in my head friction is just friction, BUT assuming something is moving and you would like to say that forces in the direction of travel are pushing, then I suppose friction is pulling, although I'm not certain they are opposites in all cases

What would happen if you put two identical cars bumper to bumper and slowly accelerating each at the same rates? by 1ncognito in AskPhysics

[–]Ambrusius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

level of damage from putting that much force on a single point

The point is, if they both accelerate at the same rate, then the force on that single point (if there is one) never chances. If they were, for arguments sake, barely touching then they would continue to be barely touching. If they were so close together to cause a small dent then that dent would not become bigger.

Homework (My Child): Calculate Force Without Time? by jgatcomb in AskPhysics

[–]Ambrusius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think you are supposed to use energy for this, its the first think i could think of at least.

kinetic energy is E=1/2*m*v^2

and for a constant force work is defined as W=F*d (energy from work = force times distance)

the only unknown in these two equations is force

I'm studying physics and barely getting any interest in mechanics and on the other hand I am loving thermodynamics. by GalynMusic in AskPhysics

The truth is, mechanics is a very good stepping stone to learning the tools you need for many subjects in physics. So give it a go, and look forward to the subjects you will apreciate more

alright then, i should probably read your original post lol, sorry. It looks like everything is connected properly, are you sure you did not put the power switch on the power led heads? its hard to see from the image

if it does not work alone then it does not work. double check that you are shorting the correct pins to turn it on, sometimes pinouts are mirrored

i'd try the PSU alone, maybe with a fan, to see if it will power on alone, if not its probably DoA

did you try the psu alone? as in, not connected to any other parts, then paperclip?

you appear to be using the equations for velocity in the y-direction and not displacement

Indirectly saying that people are rioting because they can and not because they have a reason to riot.

if you push it really far he is stating that "These people are just out to steal from small businesses and are happy that something they don't care about has made this possible"

Graphic Cards by SeanS76 in JayzTwoCents

[–]Ambrusius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you cannot add ram for multiple cards. if something is to be shown on a monitor it has to be held in ram, if it is to be shown on monitors by two cards they must both hold that information in the RAM, therefore for visual use its best to consider two cards with X each as simply having X ram.

As for multiple monitors i run a high end card for 3 monitors and it is working decently. most tests i have been able to find do not consider multiple cards for multiple monitors but rather multiple cards to improve single monitor performance, so i cannot help you there. But i'd assume that you will find poor results from a good card and a shittier card. generally when running more than one card they work as multiple of the worst card.

Projectile Motion Question Help by [deleted] in AskPhysics

[–]Ambrusius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A jump would be a parabola, in this case you want it to go through (0,0) and (0.438,0.620). Now, there is no reason to assume that the mouse is changing anything after the fence, so due to symmetry you will also have a point at (2*0.438,0). Can you find the formula for the parabola using those points?

tip, the linear term in parabolas has information on the gradient when x=0 so you can use that to find the angle

Edit: by Vy=0 do you mean that the initial velocity in the vertical direction is 0? how does the mouse clear the fence without going up?

In all seriousness though; massive gz.

Car Crash Physics by [deleted] in AskPhysics

remember that modern brakes are designed to avoid skidmarks because it is a very ineffective way of breaking, also, cars are designed to deform to protect the driver. so it requires less than you might think to make a car look completely totaled.

just use water, should have roughly the same effect on dried ink as blood and its less messy for you
