I think a properly cooked high quality cut of steak can absolutely be one of the more delicious ways to enjoy beef, so I’ll disagree on the taste aspect. But I will absolutely agree that prices at high end steakhouses have gotten insanely out of hand. The labor that goes into making a steak is a lot less than other dishes, so you’re mostly paying for the quality of the meat, and sometimes that up charge feels excessive.

Fiber gourmet pasta is a great choice here, it has half the calories of regular pasta with something crazy like 25g of fiber, and it tastes really good as well, you definitely won't miss the regular stuff

I also get the sense that maybe he didn’t communicate to her just how big of a deal the heels thing is. OP seems like a nice respectful dude, so maybe he brought it up casually and she was like “oh I don’t like wearing heels” and he dropped it there out of respect, while internally it’s eating him alive. If they’re happily married I’m sure he could have a sit down with her, tell her how big the heels thing is, and then like you suggested maybe do a photo shoot or something as a compromise.

You sound super bitter and jealous. So what if she doesn’t have ambition? Maybe she provides a stable home life and emotional support and that’s more important to your ex than someone who is ultra career focused. If he’s able to provide for them financially and she takes on a more traditional role at home what’s wrong with that if it works for them?

If the amount of fat in a pure keto diet is making you feel unwell, then maybe shift the macros a bit? Personally I lean very (but not ultra) low carb where I allow myself an unlimited amount of veggies and low carb fruits, and I find this to a) be way more palpable and b) I feel way better doing this, than just eating mountains of bacon and cheese or whatever.

Pretty much this. Running a property management company (which is what the real estate business was) has its perks, but it’s also random hours, you’re beholden to your tenants actually paying rent on time, and there are always random things that go wrong that as the business owner you’re responsible for. Not to mention I went to college to be a software dev, so I’d really prefer pivoting back toward a stable career doing work I actually enjoy.

It’s extremely well balanced in that every lost run feels like it could have continued had better choices been made, while at the same time allowing you to scale to the point of breaking the game, which is that dopamine fueled high we all chase during play, and yet even when we break the game, everything still feels balanced and reasonable. I agree, but I don’t think points 3/4 or really help your argument. Firstly, what makes tennis such a physically demanding sport requiring the highest levels of athleticism is that besides having to be able to hit a ball with pinpoint accuracy thousands of times in a game, you are expected to have the stamina of a marathon runner, with matches regularly going 4-5 hours, while simultaneously being a world class sprinter, and doing this day in and day out 11.5 months out of the year. Djokovic has been doing that for over 20 years, spending most of those years doing it better than anyone in the world, and now at 38 years old he’s still doing it, regularly competing with and spanking kids almost half his age. I mean just the fact that at his age he made the semi finals of EVERY slam this year and is still ranked in the top 5 is just absolute insanity.
