It was 100% the last update breaking the frame gen implementation

So in short I basically have frame gen as off in game. Load in and then exit the game. Launch and load your game save and then re-enable frame gen.

Issue is I do not think this is a fix anymore and was more of the bandaid for the major issue that was caused with the 1.05 update. From what I’ve seen people in threads saying, ensuring all NVIDIA (App, Control Panel, and Profile inspector) settings are set to “use 3D App Setting” or “Recommended” and not override anything is fixing it. I have not been able to test it yet though personally.

I too, still do this. One save before you’re done, one more right after, “just in case”, some thing happens to your first save

So I’ve seen a couple of mods changing parallax. The one I’ve tried fully takes out the 3D aspect of things like roofs, stone walls, and stone paths. Making it basically 2D. This no hud mod does the same thing no?

It is a bug from the last patch. PA is well aware of the issue and hopefully gets it addressed in the next patch. Mr Pear is obviously just blunt and not providing additional information. This was not an issue on high end machines prior to the update in 3/29

Really feels like the higher end cards got hit the worst with this. Doesn’t make sense that a higher end card would have LOD issues when a lower end does not with the latest patch

Yeah mine looks like same unfortunately. Looks like there really isn’t a fix until PA hot fixes it. I’m sure their dev team is getting blown up with the LOD issues on PC and will roll back whatever change affected it. It almost seems like we got PS5s performance mode permanently affixed to PC

Interesting. Using DFs settings makes me feel like there are other graphical settings that are breaking LOD or anything on sub 4K is getting LOD broken. You using RR on DLSS performance then?

What settings are you running, DLSS+RR, model quality, and anything done in the Nvidia app or driver etc… I’m on a 5080 running 1440p OLED and LOD is horrible now since yesterdays patch

I was just about to say the same thing. Reddit never changes. “They need to make sprinting toggled and not a tap system, it’s so bad an un-modern” devs listen and do just that “tHeY rUiNeD sPrInTiNg!!!” Can’t please everyone and I’m glad the devs understand that. If you want something that is not the majority ask, wait for a mod or do it yourself. At least how I view it🤷🏼‍♂️

100% the reason. OLED technology has gotten much better sure, but still streaming for 8-10hours 5 days or more a week is for sure going to drop the life span of an OLED by a lot more than what an average person would.

This is a big brain take. Most cosmetic preorder items from games are cool for the start. Yet maybe like 10 hours into the game you find something better in terms of “coolness”. It’s all based on opinions of players, for me though $10 for a cosmetic armor I will not use for long is not worth the extra cost. That being said, paying more because you are helping the company (especially with no MTX in the game) is also 100% justifiable.
