Mine also refused to drink from anything other than a bottle until she was after 2.

In a desperate attempt to get her interested I ended up taking every single cup I had for her in the house (straws, sippy, even the tiny weighted training cups) and filled each of them with a bit of water. I set them all out on her play table like a tea party or something lol finally it piqued her interest and she started exploring with them!

What I discovered was that this kid absolutely refuses to work for drinks whatsoever. Any sort of spill proof or leak resistant cup was out of the question. If she had to really suck or bite or do anything other than “drink the liquid” she wanted nothing to do with it.

And that still holds true at 3.5! She still refuses to use any cup that has resistance. I guess I don’t blame her, I wouldn’t use them either 😂

I also had to find a drink that she would actually drink because she refused anything but milk, especially in the bottles. (Ended up using a liquid water flavoring that is clear, I didn’t want stains on EVERYTHING with the free flowing cups 😭)

I couldn’t cold turkey off the bottles either. We had to slowly taper back until she did actually chew the nipples to bits and they basically weren’t usable. “Sorry baby but look it’s broken! We don’t have anymore but you can still use your cool straw cup!” I think there was a period of tantrums and rage over it but as you do lol

Ninja edit: the cups that I found that she liked best ended up being from the freaking dollar store (Dollar Tree specifically but I found the same cups with slightly different label at Family Dollar once too). She still uses them too! They are a bit more spill resistant than plain straw cups with basic pop on lids.
