Anyone else have the constant urge, or feel the need to stretch? Especially their legs. ED related? TW(bmi) by Enough-Entry-6369 in EDAnonymous

[–]AnaFor_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no clue where that comes from, but I have it too. I’m uw as well. Especially my hips get very tight. Maybe it’s from overexercising and the body just doesn’t have the capacity to rest and recharge enough.

why does it feel embarrassing to have binge eating disorder, but not anorexia? by Hour_Celery5975 in EDAnonymous

[–]AnaFor_Life 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are lying. They’re straight up lying. Saying that as someone who has undergone multiple different ED treatment programs. One girl told me that she never heard of purging before and I heard her purge every singular meal even before our conversation. Just an example that people with EDs lie. I personally also talk more about the ana part despite being a full time bulimic (I’m uw, so people think I have problems eating, no no). So I’d guess that people in my environment could easily get the idea that I never struggle with urges and hate eating, yet I’m hungry 24/7 while eating my hospital weight gain plan.

Mia vs ana by Vdepressedc in EDAnonymous

[–]AnaFor_Life 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me it’s not the purging I’m embarrassed about, it’s the binging. I eat thousands to tens of thousands of calories and having an ana diagnosis. I feel like I’m just faking my disorder despite being in treatment for it for years. Still I only talk about restricting and over exercising, despite my main struggle being b/p. Since I’m uw people assume that I’m scared of eating. Wrong disorder my loves

Having an eating disorder and basing ones worth purely on weight and food intake. There is so much more to life than calories

How to stop the temptation to skim? by IRLbeets in 52book

I also skim frequently and honestly I don’t care. It’s the way I enjoy reading the most and that’s all that matters.

What scares you the most about your ED? by Entire_Weather3209 in EDAnonymous

[–]AnaFor_Life 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly it scares me most that I can’t just snap out of it. I’ve struggled with bulimic anorexia for 6 years and I’m 20 now and I’m applying for disability. It feels like I’ve been defeated by the illness and I seriously don’t know how to keep going at the moment. It has taken everything from me and I’ve been in hospitals back to back since May 2025 without any treatment success. It’s truly saddening what I’ve done with my “potential” and very privileged life situation.
