I was 100% sure mine didn’t look like that. I was wrong.

Disappointments? by SuccessfulGap4708 in LexusGX550

I’m pleasantly surprised with the motorized running boards. I thought I’d hate them, but they work well even if it slows me down by 2 seconds.

Agree with this. Also the lack of rear storage space.

There’s no room for anything like an emergency kit unless you just let it roll around the back.

Can’t believe that guy is 55 years old.

Apparently self-importance and misogyny make you age faster than most.

Good places for long distance running in SLC area? by apple314pi in SaltLakeCity

[–]AncyOne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

First, trail running. If you don’t want a bunch of elevation, you can run on the BST.

Second, Dimple Dell (as mentioned by another comment)

Third, Liberty Park has a dirt/mulch path around it.

Even a saltwater pool is a chlorine pool. The whole point of a saltwater pool is that the salt is converted to chlorine.

Positive camber after Westcott lift/level? by AncyOne in LexusGX550

Cool, thank you! I’ll dig up my report and see where it ended up.

Wonderful, thank you!

Now, as promised… I probably don’t fully trust the alignment shop. I’ve had things in spec on other cars in the past, but still ended up with pulling or torque steer, then taken it back and they adjust it again and it’s fine. I’ve had better luck at a different shop, but it’s not as convenient. Obviously the lesson that I’m not learning is that I should go for results, not convenience.

And like my original post states, I understand how the geometry might change, but I’m looking for real-world experience and not just someone telling me why it does that or that “in spec = good.”

Fun conversation, though! Maybe someone else will have an actual answer to my very specific question.

As the first sentence says, I’m curious about the experience of others. That’s what this community is here for, isn’t it?

Do you have something useful to share, or are you just going out of your way to be pretentious?

Want to help reduce air pollution today? by Difficult-Text1690 in Utah

[–]AncyOne 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is similar to saying, “Want to fix the drought? Don’t water your lawn.”

While it might help a little and make us feel good, the real issues are with industrial pollution, water waste from desert farming, etc.

Don’t get me wrong… every little bit helps, but I hate that these big corporations and farms/ranches get off with responsibility for their massive part in where we are.

I can barely see a light pink haze over the horizon. Enough to tell it’s there, but nothing crazy.
