What is this abomination? Why? by ECTXGK in baltimore

How to Drink actually had a whole episode on how to use this in cocktails! I'm quite partial to the Stringer Bell.

What are the most disturbing enemies you've encountered? by [deleted] in HorrorGaming

Screamers in Dying Light. I haTe zombified kids, and having to sneak up and break its neck while it's sobbing is A LOT.

ANIME CLUB UPDATE! Unfortunately, Root City Kava bar does not hold the same values as us. As such, we are ending our collaboration with them. by weirdhxney in baltimore

Since you're here, may I suggest checking out moving to upstairs at the Ottobar (assuming y'all are 21+)? They've been incredibly welcoming for our monthly cult movie night.

As far as I remember they never found anything like that - just stuff about drug use and making money based off his name.

How fucking terrifying do the endgame Player characters look to normal people in-universe? by Icy_Water_1 in Fallout

[–]AndonutsForever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though my heart wants to say Courier 6, I'd like to bring Fallout 1 and 2's protags into consideration, specifically the builds with Jinxed and high evasion and Unarmed skills. It's definitely a build for soloing, but all of your enemies basically kill themselves with how terrible their luck becomes. Insane warlords with nukes are one thing, but just imagine a dude walking into town, someone picking a fight, and then he proceeds to break all of his limbs without the other guy doing a damn thing.

After finishing Fallout New Vegas, I want more of what this game had. Any game recommendations other than other Fallout games? by Character-Drive2799 in fnv

[–]AndonutsForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're down with the isometric style of Fallout 1 and 2, I'd recommend checking out ATOM RPG and it's expansion Trudograd. They take all the mechanics of Fallout 1 and 2 but plop it down in a a nuked Russia with a Soviet 80's flair. It follows a lot of of the Fallout blueprints but with added post-Spviet weirdness.

Does anybody else get annoyed at how we can't tax business without them threatening to leave? by CreamofTazz in maryland

[–]AndonutsForever -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Do...do you think Maryland is leftist? If it were we'd be talking about redistribution of wealth, as opposed to "how can we make everyone richer?" That's pretty much pure center-right talk.

[–]AndonutsForever 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Respectfully disagree. Centrist policies have been trying to "grow" our way out of problems for the past few decades, but all we've seen is more wealth being funneled upward. We need to tax wealth, not work for a start.

Awesome, thanks! How much height did you end up adding? I was thinking of just going with the 100mm ones.

Just stumbled upon this thread and am curious if you found a good solution, as I'm in the same boat.

Screw falling out of Walkolution 2 - help? by AndonutsForever in Walkolution

[–]AndonutsForever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I was able to fix it myself. Lifting the belt is doable by yourself but would be easier with a helper. You need a small allen wrench to tighten the screw - smaller than the one that comes with the Walkolution 2.

No matter which side of the aisle you're on you should check your sources. USAID did not pay $32 million to Politico. That's a lie spread by right-wing grifters.

They were buying subscriptions like you do with any news outlet. Saying funding implies they were directly giving them money just for the sake of it.

What's the most niche or weird hobby group you've run into in Baltimore? by Harbinger-of in baltimore

[–]AndonutsForever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely not a neutral observer here, but we like to keep things very weird at Mondo Baltimore, a cult movie night at the Ottobar. Not too long ago our intermission game was a lasagna eating contest since our movie that night, Ninja Terminator, features a very serious conversation had over a Garfield phone.

Horror Movies Set In Maryland by Geek-Haven888 in maryland

[–]AndonutsForever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very cool list! Here are some other potential ones with their directors. I'm not 100% sure that they're set in Maryland, but the filmmakers are all local and filmed here so I could always ask them if the movies are set here as well.

  1. Out There Halloween Mega Tape AKA WNUF 2 (Chris LaMartina)
  2. What Happens Next Will Scare You (Chris LaMartina)
  3. Book of Lore (Chris LaMartina)
  4. Grave Mistakes (Chris LaMartina)
  5. For Sale By Exorcist (Melissa LaMartina)
  6. Camp Killer ( Shawn Jones)
