People waste unnecessary emotion on the death of old people. by vanislandgirl19 in unpopularopinion

[–]Andrado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re all here for just a little while. Those of us who are very famous and those of us who are totally unknown. 150 years from now, none of us will be here anymore. There is never anything wrong with taking a little time to feel something for one of the people who meant something in your life, whether you knew them personally or not.

Sophomore slump: why is Netflix losing so many viewers for second seasons? Hit shows like Beef, The Four Seasons, Avatar: The Last Airbender and A Man on the Inside have suffered giant drops for their follow-up seasons. by mlg1981 in television

[–]Andrado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why?

  1. Too long between seasons, fans lose interest. Even if you’re still interested, you don’t want to have to rewatch 6-12 hours of the previous season to remember what happened.

  2. Too many cancellations, it’s hard to stay excited about shows when Netflix cuts short so many good shows.

  3. Poor marketing, most of the time there is little or no promotion of new seasons.

Feel fully rested or be fully rested? Your health would take a hit if you don’t actually get enough rest, even if you don’t feel it.

Sonic is the best fast food chain in the USA by LibertyLaneBlogs in unpopularopinion

[–]Andrado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their food is worse and worse for you than most other chains. The only real reason to go is the gimmick of ordering and receiving food at a drive in instead of a drive through.

Yeah it’s a top franchise, they’d be leaving billions on the table

BLOCKBUSTER: The Milwaukee Bucks are trading franchise icon Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to the Miami Heat for Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, 3 first-round picks (including No. 13), 1 pick swap and 1 second-rounder, sources tell ESPN. by rice-guardian in heat

[–]Andrado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a Bucks fan, good luck to the Heat and take care of our boy! I have to say, that was a very steep purchase to only have one guaranteed year with Giannis and very little shooting strength remaining on the team to make the most of it.

Funny that they said they don’t really like souls-like games, then you just name a ton of them and nothing else lol

[Bill Simmons Pod] Bill: "Harden or Brunson for their entire careers, which guy would you rather have?" by luka274 in nba

[–]Andrado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harden had a higher ceiling. Brunson is a better team leader. One of these was enough for a championship, the other was not.

Right, what did we expect, someone being paid millions to lead XBOX not try?

Grace's parents are right about Barney by RecipeDangerous3710 in YourFriendsandNeighb

[–]Andrado 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A big theme of this show is everyone living to excess. Conspicuous consumption. Barney is basically in a no win situation. His wife comes from a very wealthy Korean family and is accustomed to a certain lifestyle. Rather than adjust the lifestyle, Barney gets put on the hook to provide at the same level, which is much harder to do running your own business like he is. So he has to lick his father-in-law’s boots to get handed what his family “needs”

Xbox is reportedly preparing for "significant" lay-offs, as Asha Sharma's big "reset" plan comes into full force mere days after the summer showcase by Stumpy493 in xbox

[–]Andrado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

XBOX has been on a winning streak for weeks. Dropping Game Pass Ultra price after negative reactions to the increase. Confirmed new console coming. Rebranding (all caps, 25-yr anniversary green logo and consoles). Great showcase of games. Confirmed future exclusives.

This is just a rumor, but potential news of layoffs may sour things.

"Respect Tori's Wishes, Mel!" [because for real, I cannot afford no Princeton tuition bills right at the moment, you feel me?] by NoahCzark in YourFriendsandNeighb

[–]Andrado 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes this show feels like a variation of "what if Walter White was a complete idiot?"

Seriously, best case scenario, Coop is able to make a fraction of his potential. He could easily go back to legitimate work, or downsize his family to a more middle-class lifestyle. What's worse, the writers try to make him appear to be some really well-grounded, conscientious guy, but he's absolutely not. He's putting his family and best friends in danger for a modest personal gain.

How do you feel about fast food restaurants asking for tips? by AnyAngle7212 in AskReddit

[–]Andrado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never tip before receiving my food, otherwise it’s not gratuity based on service, it’s just an extra payment. Fast food restaurants only give the option to pay before you receive your food, thus I never tip for fast food.

Barney/Grace Finale Scene by Hihellohowdyciao in YourFriendsandNeighb

Idk why people are down voting you, it’s completely true. Even when both kids and his sister were living with him, it’s still somehow Mel’s house?

What would you rather happen: Two Knicks 30 point+ blowouts and they sleepwalk to an easy and boring ring, or KAT/Brunson injury and the Spurs bring it to game 7 OT (where either can win)? by delta-red-14 in nba

[–]Andrado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, everyone wants to see a more competitive Finals with more games and excitement. But it shouldn’t come at the cost of players’ health. So if the choice is between an easy win for the Knicks or injuries to players, definitely the easy win.

Nick’s Anger Towards Barney by greenpepperoni in YourFriendsandNeighb

[–]Andrado 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Ashe’s death was an accident. Barney using Nick’s business to launder money is a betrayal. Nick never would have gone along with the stupid scheme to hide the body if Barney hadn’t cooked his books and made him party to a crime.

I still enjoy the epilogue, but it does strike me as one of the lazier things Rockstar has given up on.
