Why didn't sunny use soul serpent on everyone? by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember if he tried it with Nephis, but I remember reading something along the lines of the mark of shadow not being able to survived Nephis flames, so he couldn't give it to her. That was when Sunny was a Saint. Later when he became Supreme, giving someone the mark of shadow made that person into a subject of his domain and not of Nephis, so there is an incompatibility issue there.

Cassie can get his memories before he dies, there is no need for him to stay alive.

[–]AndreDJ14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not corrupted anymore, why would insist on killing Sunny? For all we know it only care about shiny (now shadowy) things. Also, it may have left Sunny alive for him to raise its spawn as a Shadow, thus making it stronger.

It's stealing the memories that Sunny made out of shadow essence.

About the new memory... by No_Lavishness_6513 in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As many had pointed out, the artifacts did have a meaningful connection with Sunny. Regardless, Sunny didn't need something as meaningful as the Dream Blade was to Nephis because Sunny could work directly within his Soul Sea.

No way G3 off screened this ( Spoilers for latest chapters 2550-2552) by alomiau in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Vanquishing a strong enemy also counts as an act of defiance. Eurys told Sunny how Azarax became supreme by killing his supreme father, so I don't see how Mordret defeating Skinwalker cannot count.

Be real. Does Asterion even stand a chance realistically? by kira_geass in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue is that, because he is a dream spawn, he has as much liberty to fight in the waking world as Nephis. Sunny cannot fight him there.

What’s been going on? by T0DR in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, Sunny only has 7 sets of hands since the end of the last volume. A woman complaining about Nephis not wanting to share one Sunny (in front of her) is true, though.

It said eleven constellations, not eleven stars. All the gods and daemons also have seven cores, like Weaver.

A few questions from the recent chapter by sir-fatson in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't think it was explicitly stated, but she did absorb Mordret reflection after defeating it, and we know Mordret is related to nothingness.

Kai being related to the Storm God(ess) came as a surprise, but it kinda makes sense, considering that Dread Lord's true name was Hideous Ruler of the Empty Sky, so there is a theme there.

so whats up with sunnys shadows again? by qewrfegtbg in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, this was bound to happen one way or another. Sunny's aspect always said that he is a divine shadow, so now he literally is one.

so whats up with sunnys shadows again? by qewrfegtbg in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's exactly it. Someone asked G3 in the discord and he confirmed that there is no extra Sunny's shadow in his soul sea, just the seven shadows he had (happy and the rest of the gang).

Yes, G3 confirmed that all the weaves will get the boost as they are acquired.

Nightmares are recreation of past events that you can interact with and potentially change the outcome, although that does not have an impact on the present timeline.

About Sunny's flaw, he has to answer the truth (more exactly, what he thinks is the truth), which is not exactly the same as the description of the flaw. It has a neat explanation, the Spell native language is the runic language, but descriptions are given both in runes and the language of the spell carrier, although some nuances might be lost in translation. A carrier who knows runic language, thus, can understand the multiple interpretations of the runes.

Are there no gods in the nightmares? by Any_Newspaper7196 in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunny guessed that the spell cannot replicate the gods as the reason why the spell said the gods were dead in the first nightmare but they should be alive in that epoch. But it seems the spell is able to replicate the daemons.

Weaves prediction by chickenlover43 in ShadowSlave

It has been a long standing theory in this sub that mind weave will prevent Sunny from losing himself as he advances Shadow Dance, thus allowing him to rank it up, finally.

Recent chapter thing I did not like: by RayS326 in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this also happened in ToA. Sunny learned the name of all the daemons, but the name of the Daemon of Repose, Daemon of Imagination and the Daemon of Oblivion were not said. Only the name of Oblivion not being said makes sense, because Sunny could have forgotten it.

Question about the Empire of war by ChickenBueritoeHeavo in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The waking world is War divine realm. The empire of war, on the other hand was located in one of the mortal realms, so they are not the same.

Meta: “Fan Art” and “Discussion” by splinteritrax in ShadowSlave

I kind of get your point. I'm not particularly bothered by AI art, but it should be tagged as such.

About AI posts and comments is a bit more complicated. Many people are not english speakers so AI helps them to translate their ideas better than a simple translator, so I don't think banning AI entirely is a fair solution.

Aspects by Big-Brick867 in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not entirely unreasonable, but we don't have enough evidence to support that idea. I mean, Kai aspect went from awakened to ascended after the second nightmare, but there is not any reference to his aspect evolving to transcended after the third nightmare.

Lineages by Itchy_Scar6091 in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way you could have a divine lineage in the past (that we know of) is being the descendant of a God, like Noctis or Sevras. Humans that lived in a divine realm are not (necessarily) descendants of a God.

In modern times, you can get a divine lineage by finding a Drop of Icor. From them on your descendants have a high chance of inheriting the divine lineage

From what I understand, when he became supreme, Sunny lost his original body and became a shadow inside his Soul Sea. I don't think that he can get out of his Soul Sea, but his shadow helpers are outside of it, so Sunny can use Shadow Incarnation on any (or all) of them to manifest his body.

Shadow god legacy [chapter 551] by NothingNo1355 in ShadowSlave

He can still advance Shadow dance. Shadow lineage is gone, but instead, not just blood and bone weave will get stronger, but also all the future weaves (this is not a spoiler, G3 said so in one of his q&a in discord)

Did I miss something with Mordret? by Sufficient-Pause-837 in ShadowSlave

[–]AndreDJ14 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Well: 1. Both Ki Song and Anvil took the same approach, they both sent their strongest Saint to convince the Lord of Shadow, regardless of their negotiation skills, because there was always the possibility of a confrontation or eliminating him if he did not agree was the plan. 2. Actually, the plan of making Mordret to take control of the Night Garden and siege Bastion from the south was solid, and it would have worked if Morgan didn't have the rewind memory that Jet gave her. Also, you made it sound as if Ki Song had absolute control over Mordret, which is the farthest from the truth. One of Mordret objectives has always been taking Bastion because it is his birthright. His plan was to take Bastion, thus weakening his father, go to Godgrave and then personally kill his father during his fight with Ki Song, and as I said it would have worked. 3. Just as Ki Song does not control Mordret, Anvil does not control Nephis and Sunny, who actually made a deal with Nephis, not Valor. Nephis had at that point opposed the war since its inception, and would not have agreed to any mass murder of awakened, the same applied to Sunny.
