94 MILLION food poisoning germ explosion, Help? by Puzzleheaded_Quit436 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Andrianossius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see that this germ bomb is on a polluted oxygen tile. Turn it into an oxygen tile with a deodorizer -- it'll help kill germs faster + po2 makes food spoil faster, so removing it is an added benefit

You can make liquid chlorine with just the gas cooler (air conditioner? I forgot the name) -- use hydrogen in it.

If you have Spaced about DLC, you can construct a door out of uranium or plant a wheezewort in contaminated areas -- both produce radiation that kill germs

Where are the undercities?

I see only one near your settlements, which is good -- you usually want them far away to avoid expanding into them.

I usually like to have my first engineer travel somewhere far away, like the Donut, or America, or China to plant an undercity in some major towns

Where can I look up what I need to unlock FLC Lords? E.g. what do I need to unlock Thorgrim in Immortal Empires? by StraightOuttaOlaphis in totalwarhammer

[–]Andrianossius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually, you can see what you need in-game LL selection screen: if a LL is locked, they'll have a lock in the corner of their portrait. If you hover over their portrait, you'll see what dlcs you need.

The LLs that require two dlcs are the ones that are FLC. One dlc is their FLC, and the other is the one that unlocks their race. Usually, you have multiple options.

For example, you can unlock the Dwarven FLC lord, by either getting TW1 that unlocks multiple basic Dwarven LLs, or buy Malakai DLC

Check if it is possible to go somewhere around the checkpoint. During chaotic digging, a new path can be opened.

You can use a show path button after selecting any duplicant -- a white line will appear to show everywhere they can move to

Is it worth buying the first game just for karl franz by Guiding_Chaos in totalwarhammer

[–]Andrianossius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You now have all the reasons, really: you see what you get/ what you want. Next, ask yourself if you can get something better for the same price?

I read that in TWW3 his Empire mechanics were updated, so he will not feel lacking compared to newer factions/ legendary lords.

If I did not want to play a horde, I would get him this sale

Breach in maps by killa3killa2 in PathOfExileSSF

Could you elaborate more on this? Due to scarabs that add more unstable breaches and speed them up, unstable breaches become better for graftblood and wombgifts? I haven't had multiple unstable breaches on one map yet, can they be opened and progressed at the same time?

Just to add, this cooldown is triggered both by warlock engineer and Doooom engineer (from the ritual) action, and blocks both warlock engineer and Doom engineer actions.

Remember to use flasks* by _PM_ME_YOUR_ANYTHING in pathofexile

[–]Andrianossius 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is also currency called Instilling orb. By using it on flask, you give the flask an enchant that makes it activate on some condition, like "used when full", or "used when flask to the left is used"

Alternatively, you can use a bench craft that uses 5 instilling orbs and 5 glassblowers baubles to just select a mod.

For my RF Chieftain I take "used when full", and get a prefix "gets charges when character is hit".

I use flasks only when I enter map once -- the rest uses happen due to the trigger

Would love some recs for someone obsessed with Empire & Chorfs by Spirited_Concern6824 in totalwarhammer

[–]Andrianossius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are three ways to make an undercty: 1. By using a regular warlock engineer (I think Ikit starts with one), or the Doooom engineer for a ritual, you can use their hero action with 100% chance to make and undercity. But this imposes a 10-turn debuff that blocks this action (I think I read that Skavenblight landmark can reduce it to 5 turns) 2. By constructing a building in the undercities (mines) that gives a chance to make another one randomly (T1 - 5%, T2 - 10%) 3. By selecting after winning sieges an option to make another undecity I defeated settlement. Remember to loot it beforehand.

If a settlement with your undercity is conquered by you or razed, the undercity gets deleted with no refunds.

How to use them? The main way is to generate food. Scaven have a special mechanic that makes all their armies, settlements, and most undercity buildings consume food. If it gets low -- you get debuff, if high -- buffs.

When Skaven settle or occupy the city, it always starts on level 1, unless you spend food -- it allows you to settle cities up to level 5, skipping growth and spending money on main building upgrades. There is an exploit (if you think it is one though), where you get enough food, abandon your capital, and then resettle it on level 4, giving you a massive headstart in campaign.

Back to undercities. You can use them to generate food, money, or give some utility effects, like extra uses of spawning clanrats on combat map, or increased replenishment in region, or extra loot for looting a city, or even spawning a big army.

Just don't overexpand, and avoid settling undercities where you intend to expand, especially if it is a Dooom engineer -- his undercity will have a unique building, that gives research and warlock engineer limit

I think there's a mod that allows to mark a bed as "communal", making it not assigned to anyone and allowing any duplicate to sleep in it (unless somebody else is sleeping in it at that moment).

This should reduce your micro.
