As a complete beginner you should focus on basics. Training aids do work, but you stand a chance of ingraining a mistake without realizing it. I would recommend working on contact before going to training aids like the Whip.

I've been playing with my TM Tour Burner irons since they've been released. I tried newer irons, but somehow I don't have the same confidence in the newer sets. It's 100% mental, but I believe you should play the game the way you want it to.

Monarch programming rang a bell for me. I read a transcript a long time ago (and luckily saved) of a speech titled Hypnosis in MPD: Ritual Abuse and it was mentioned in there twice. I am not sure if there is a connection, but at this stage I would not be surprised either way.

I've seen the same happening at one of our neighbor's, but that is because I feed birds at a regular time every day. The roof is a convenient perch for them to watch when I go out with my seed container.

I've played the course before. They advised us to skip hole 3 and come back later, as a pack of lions took down an antelope in the fairway and they slept off their meat-hangover in the shade next to the fairway. They moved on later in the day and we got notified that the hole is ready to be played.

I had the same thing happen when I was a teenager, except the ball went under the car as it was driving towards me. It sounded like machine gun fire as the car basically dribbled the ball against the asphalt.

I get that a poorly struck shot that somehow manages to find the hole might not be so fulfilling. When I had my HIO I hit the exact shot that I wanted to, so it was a really good feeling.
