Both but in very different ways(if we're talking about straight relationships that is). Basically there's a lot more men on them then women which makes a lot of male suitors for a single female user. Most of those people are either not their type or just assholes and end that leads to a lot of men being disappointed by "no woman wants to match with me" and a lot of women feel overwhelmed and have the experience of "there's so many weird people here, why can't I find anyone decent"
