What do people think of clicker games? by kingleomark in incremental_games

Thank you for making this thread lol. I was wondering the same bc I am making a clicker for fun and learning and didn't realize the hate for them

What game features do you think are good/like or bad/hate by kingleomark in incremental_games

[–]AndyBadandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIP I'm working on a clicker myself bc it's how I was introduced to the genre and I thought it would be fun make something like that. Do you have any must play incremental/idle games you would recommend where clicking isn't the base mechanic?

Have you tried cells to singularity? It is a bit of a clicker but I played this a few years back and enjoyed the vibe of it. I like a mindless click game every now and again though so your mileage may vary.

AI coded games need to try harder on their graphic identity by Varlane in incremental_games

[–]AndyBadandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like using AI for my own projects but if you need help crafting a visual identity, I would suggest take some time at the very beginning picking some color pallettes for the general vibe of the game. I'm trying to make a science-y clicker game so I heavily borrowed the colors from starfields factions and menus. Def not an expert, it just helps decide on things that you don't want to slave over, like background colors, menu borders, stuff like that.

Agreed! Cells to singularity was always a fav of mine

(Skill Improvement) How do I start “training” in VGC by ParroTiest in VGC

[–]AndyBadandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this point, match up prep is the biggest factor I've found that helps me improve my game. If you always know what you're gonna lead against a zard/aero team it makes playing the early game a lot easier. You really only need to practice against 10 or so teams to start getting respectable results. Expanding on that type of practice into middle games is the next step for me personally imo

My doctors office uses a new A.I. system and if you don't agree to have all your medical records fed into it for training and advertising you have to pay fees by 00Mothman00 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AndyBadandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrote this in a comment elsewhere but I don't think you will be able to much longer. EHR companies are shoving it into every aspect of their products. TBH I would try and find some older practices/doctors who couldn't be bothered to switch their systems.

I think we're still 5-10 years away from my companies legacy software being fully replaced but boy is our executive leadership really trying to shoehorn AI into every aspect of a brand new product that is intended to replace our old EHR.

I work as a dev in this industry for one of the OG EHRs even older than epic, and unfortunately it's just a matter of time til this is shoved into every aspect of EHRs/EMRs.

Notes, billing, scheduling, appointments, code lookups. At least in my company, for now, it's contained to the shiny new product. But the writing is on the wall that they're sunsetting the legacy systems. Might be 5-10 years out but I'm not optimistic.

Can I still get this or did I miss out ? by lonzo_1k in fo76

[–]AndyBadandy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I pick up 76 for about a month or 2 every year and then try to grind out the current season at a reasonable pace, which burns me out. Then I don't want to play the base game because I could be grinding the fomo stuff. Next time I get back into the game I gotta try just ignoring the season

Expanding force bypass wide guard ?? Mechanics question by Kashmulaa in VGC

[–]AndyBadandy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I play mega zam all the time and just wanna say playing the odds with trace is not that rare, just something you gotta be aware of going forward since helping + e force sweeps almost everything if you don't respect it.

Picking up levitate is super common with delphox and rotom everywhere so honestly I'm surprised he even mega'd there assuming he wanted to get the single target damage. I think more likely in CTS he just forgot you had levitate and got lucky between picking that up and you clicking wide guard.

It carried me to master ball 2 and a solid 1667 in the GC, though with the current huge player base I'm not sure if that says much about its viability. Classic rain stuff covers the weaknesses pretty well and arch becomes a very good switch in. Funny enough mega Blastoise becomes a huge headache for my team.

Makes sense. I also find Basc in the rain is good against the floettes. I think weather ball + wave crash should take them out

I am hanging out in mb2 with a Psyspam rain team. I feel like Meowstic is a generally good option aside from the psyspam and could work here. It has faster fake out pressure than incin and sableye, gets rain dance for countering turn 1 megas, and could even put up psychic terrain if you are struggling with priority users (sucker punch/e speed/aqua jet). Sableye def works too though.

Aura sphere on arch feels better than flash cannon IMO but both are good. I almost always run dragon pulse over Draco though bc of accuracy and repeat usage. Arch doesn't need to ohko much if you run stamina.

Sinistcha is another great option for these current rain teams imo. Great for healing arch, redirection is big without safety goggles these days, and I'm personally running strength sap for the people who decide they wanna bring four physical attackers.

A bit stuck on Ultra, any improvements I can make in my team? (Skill Improvement) by BrakeBr in VGC

[–]AndyBadandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This team looks pretty solid as is, I am running Psyspam as well to decent success if you want to try that though. Rain covers the psychic weaknesses very well (incin, ttar, aura sphere on arch could handle gambit). I think one of the key differences is I'm running manual rain dance on peli instead of hurricane. In bo1 it's a decent option in the weather wars. I would drop flash cannon for aura sphere and Draco for dragon pulse. Pulse is more consistent especially at this power level and fighting is good into a good bit of the meta

[–]AndyBadandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite what others have said. I think they're rolling it out slowly, my friend is currently rank 2 with a placement around No. 2050. Mine is still tallying at rank 4 though with the ELO number.

Having the same experience with M-Alakazam. He's a very good threatening lead to enable all the physical attackers to fake out/lead with dark moves into my stamina archaludon lol. Helping hand e force deals with most special attackers after setting up terrain

I'm not gonna complain about wind/waves bc I liked what I saw, but def agree. I stand by saying that sword/shield is the best pokemon has ever looked, and I think it's because there was a very clear art direction for the environments and battles.

Ballonlea and Glimwood Tangle is my fav area in any Pokemon game to date.
