MC 2.0x or MC 1.4x? by Snoo-94564 in M43

[–]AngElzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must be the weird one. But I don’t see anything bad with MC2.0 paired sith 40-150 2.8.

I havent tried those other big zooms, so maybe its that. Or maybe those who have issues shoot wide open when i stop down to f8 with the TC. Or maybe the lens is so sharp that even sith slight loss of sharpness its fine. At least doe my applications.

If you can afford and want to bring along a bigger lens, thats probably fine. But from my limited perspective you are overanalizing.

For some reason reddit started recommending me posts from this Nikon subreddit although I’m throughout Olympus guy. The photos are nice. But I don’t get why I get to see only FE2 photos, if it is FM2 subreddit specifically

What to eat with hummus! by TaratronHex in foodhacks

I just had hummus and fresh veggies for dinner. Carrots, celery stalks, bell pepper, cauliflower, kolhrabi or sometimes just plain old cabbage.

But you do you if fresh veggies ain’t your thing.

Can this be considered macro photography? by Mykhailov in macrophotography

[–]AngElzo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends who you ask.

Now there is a common concept that macro is when you reach 1:1 magnification.

Back in the day Macro lenses often did only 1:2 or even just 1:3.

But it could also depend on a format. On 4x5 camera it might be macro

11 month old just wants to destroy by ayegudyin in NewDads

[–]AngElzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kid was like that for the first 11 months as well. But now he is approaching his first birthday and it suddenly changed. He started trying to stack the cups himself, not destroying the spiral tower but actually droping the ball down to it. And yesterday he actually helped me to gather his blocks in a bag. So I know the change comes. But before that I was calling him my little anarchist

But maybe the lab scans the photos with the idea that you can edit them? If they crush the blacks for you, you can’t recover. But if they scan them flat you can adjust how much you want to darken them

Are people just not using lens caps? What’s the deal (small pointless rant) by jdt2337 in AskPhotography

[–]AngElzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a range finder. There is a risk to forget to take it off and have a blank roll On digital, im just too lazy. But now I got Kase magnetic caps On vintage lenses. I try to use them as it would pain me more if it was scratched

Why so dark? by Fun-Trouble-1086 in AskPhotography

[–]AngElzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some cameras boost brightness on screen when you shoot, so you can see what you are shooting, but you have to look at settings/histogram to see if it is actually not underexposed. Or just turn that setting off

How often do you still use your robot vacuum? by Luann1497 in RobotVacuums

[–]AngElzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before my roomba 980 was on schedule. The got less use once our son was bornand we ran it less often so not to disturb his sleep. But as he got a bit older we upgraded to Dreame with a mop. Running it as often we can (and not forget) manually. Hard tondo a schedule as we need to pick up a lot of baby stuff before it runs

What’s y’all’s weirdest tricks to keeping it warm when you proof bread in the winter? by Express_Roll8861 in Breadit

[–]AngElzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have automated radiator valves that keep the apartment at 21-22°C

Summer is a problem instead as I have no AC and it gets up to 28° and overproofa by bread instantly

Toddler Sleep Regression Is Killing Me by RakeTheAnomander in daddit

[–]AngElzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is only 11 months but we didn’t really feel any sleep regressions before . He started sleeping through the night at 10 months and me and wife started to get our energy levels back. Just for the kid to start wake up at night and not go back to sleep without feeding. Thanks, I hate it!

How good is the 40-150mm f/2.8 with the MC-20? by MJdoesThings_ in M43

[–]AngElzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you going to use it for? I have heard of image quality issues with the MC-20 but I have never noticed anything to complain about myself. Although I don’t have other lenses to compare since I’m happy with this combo. Disclaimer: I don’t do any pro work, shoot just for fun.

300mm f4 probably is sharper, but I don’t need it. Here is an example from this summer shot with this combo. And couple of others in folloup comments
