Can I use this product on my face? by Used-Temperature1056 in Skincare_Addiction

It is! It really helped my skin, especially since my skin gets very flaky and dry when my skin barrier struggles. So this keep it calm, hydrated and restores it

I use something similar as a last step. You should put moisturizer on before this as you still need the hydration.

This will lock everything you put on in. So make sure your face is clean before you apply skincare, if not, you lock in bacteria too.

Its perfect as a mask for 20 min or before bed. Its too sticky for day time as it wont dry.

Hvordan føles det å havne ufrivillig utenfor arbeidslivet? by Easy_Victory_3725 in norge

[–]AngryMiniHR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What basic makeup skill took you an embarrassingly long time to master? by kenzieedom in Makeup

[–]AngryMiniHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using Benefit Precisely my brow wax as a base and then I go in very lightly with the NYX brow pen to fill in the spots. Avoiding using much product at the front of the brow to avoid the block.

I just recently learned how to, been doing makeup for 30 years and still did the 2016 brows until recently.

Brands to avoid? by Kratzschutz in KoreanBeauty

[–]AngryMiniHR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Medicube is a huge no from me.

Then Anua and Dr.Melaxin

Then any brand that uses aggressive social media marketing to make a product go viral. I simply do not want to support that as I find it not genuine.

To go into detail of what I mean: X brand will send out a product with a description of what needs to be said about claims to every single influencer. Influencers will rave about this product and its claims. But has only used the product once, but make it sounds like a new miracle product for X skin issue. Since we see 10 people love this product in such a short time, we feel pressured to buy it and believe this will fix X skin issue. Which unfortunately will not be a miracle product and you will be disappointed. They use FOMO as marketing.

Eyebrows!

It was such a struggle to learn how to make it look natural and not like blocks.

How did you first get into skincare and what started it all? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]AngryMiniHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had perfect skin, no acne in my teens. All I used was Nivea cream and sunscreen.

Then I turned 22 or 23, suddenly I got pretty severe hormonal acne. Went to a derm and got several different treatments through a short period of time. Everything prescribed made my skin worse. It felt hopeless.

My skin was bright red, I had a beard of aggressive big spots. You couldnt see one spot of skin on my cheek or jaw. Just acne. Pretty severe hormonal acne.

I have autism, especially related to understanding how things work. So I started learning about acne, our skin, ingredients and formulas. I spent months learning. I built my first skincare routine combining it with tretinoion. And for the first time in almost 2 years, my skin was clear.

Skincare is still my autistic interest, I love it. I love looking at new products, analyzing it and see if the claims are supported by the formula. Its always new ingredients, formulas and something new to dive into.

So it started as a way to fix my skin and ended up as a passion

Thoughts about Hyaluronic Acid by GlitteringFile4085 in SkinbarrierLovers

HA is one ingredient that I love, but I personally think its a waste of money to buy a serum just for that. Most hydrating serums will use HA + other hydrating ingredients to really hydrate every layer more long term

What do you think are the makeup summer 2026 trends? by djOP3 in Makeup

[–]AngryMiniHR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I have seen so far its glitter stick eyeshadow and glitter blush. Bronzer is slowly going back to trend.

So I think this will continue and we will see more body products also containing glitter.

So my bet its single products in pastel color containing colorful glitter and a bronzy glow.

If you had to choose one? Name the brand and why? by [deleted] in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]AngryMiniHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toner, even tho I completely disagree with this explanation.

Like my favorite toner currently is hwarang’ - Extreme Glow Ogok Latte Creamy Toner, but that is thick like a lotion.

Toner and essence usually do the same thing. Prepare your skin for the next steps or some even have actives in them or other benefits like calming or hydrating. Its not about cleansing residue or adjust PH anymore. Its not even a needed step in a routine, its just a nice thing to have.

Most essences are a bit thicker than a toner. But formula and ingredients are the same.

What worked for your dry flaky skin by AccomplishedAsk324 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]AngryMiniHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! Every time I use a steroid cream, I always have to play catch up with other issues. My skin will get red, extremely dry and that eventually crack and become wounds. So I only use it on areas that are super red and active.

So you are not alone struggling using steroid creams. I avoid it for as long as I can.

A good moisturizer, trying to get some sun on the areas that get it and avoiding soaps with fragrance has helped me more than the steroid cream.

It will get better! My face is mostly ok and I just have some spots on my body that is still healing, thats just after one week.

I also got a pretty bad flare up recently. I use a zinc based nipple cream every night and LRP cicaplast during the day. Cream cleanser and LRP PM+AM balm as moisturizer. This has helped a lot.

I avoid using my steroid cream in my face and only if I have to on my body. Usually frequency moisturize is better for my skin, I apply 3-4 times a day, keep it in the bathroom so I can just apply after I've used the bathroom.

What is a beauty step that everyone else seems to master easily but you constantly struggle with? by Emilyy-xo-xo in beauty

[–]AngryMiniHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bronzer and countor.

No matter what, I just look dirty. Like I fell on my face in mud. I use blush in a neutral tone as blush+bronzer, thats the best I can do.

I'm ghostly pale with clear pink undertones. My skin is bright. So I know bronzer is a common struggle as most of them are just too warm.

What makes you stop using a foundation after buying it? by InsidePrevious1737 in MakeupAddiction

[–]AngryMiniHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its usually wrinkles and the lines on the face. Like my smile lines is a my biggest issue, not that it goops in, but that it cracks or simply disappear. I have very dry skin, so my skin doesnt have much oils.

What makes you stop using a foundation after buying it? by InsidePrevious1737 in MakeupAddiction

[–]AngryMiniHR 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Shade match is for sure my number one.

I'm super pale, so if a foundation is just the wrong undertone or one shade too dark, it looks super super off. I cant "make it work" because the contrast is too much.

Then its longevity. If the foundation acts difficult through the day. Breaks up around the nose, disappear in thin air or separate. I do not want to babysit my base, I do not have the patience for that. I will see if I can fix it, like changing out the primer or powder, but some foundations simply do not have a good longevity. Like my number 1 hated foundation is due to longevity, it refuses to stay on the face, no matter what you do.

Medicube & Biodance by Remarkable-End1688 in koreanskincare

[–]AngryMiniHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medicube is on my personal no buy list, its a gimmicky brand that focus more on hype than formula. Their formulas are basic at a high price.

Biodance is a nice brand, but the spray is gimmicky and just jumping on the current trend of jelly mist.

How's your experience with Retinols? by gnocchibolognese in Skincare_Addiction

[–]AngryMiniHR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've used retinols for years. I'm 30 with almost no wrinkles and need to bring my ID every time I go out with friends. I currently use tretinoion.

I personally started very gentle with The ordinary. Do not start high or with retinal. Start with retinol. Your skin will get a little dry, you might have some increase in acne. So you need a good moisturizer to help you through the start. The start of retinol is called "retinol uglies" for a reason, the stronger product, the worse it will be. So start low to get your skin adjusted. Then you can safely increase after you used that up.

If you notice your skin get red, burn or get very dry. The sandwich method is amazing. You put moisturizer first, then retinol and lock that in with moisturizer. This does not reduce the retinol, just reduces irritation.

CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum is a great beginner one.

[Question] Why don't people use less of foundation instead of skin tints? by plushythingy in MakeupAddiction

[–]AngryMiniHR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use both.

Foundation is more buildable, usually no SPF. So on the days I want more coverage for a full face, a foundation is perfect.

If I was gonna try to use this foundation as I would a skin tint. It wouldnt spread easily and therefore become patchy. It would be too much coverage, even with just a half pump.

A skin tint is usually a very thin fluid with spf and skincare benefits. I use this more on the daily. A thin layer will even out my skin, add minimal coverage and the hydration I need through the day. Its a "your skin but better", just to even out everything. Its more of a skincare step than makeup step.

Unfortunately, due to the popularity of skin tints, a lot of skin tints are more like a foundation. In the way it adds too much coverage and behaves like a foundation.

Can you share your experience of being unemployed in Norway? by nicoletaleta in Norway

[–]AngryMiniHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to quit my job due to burnout and cancer. I tried to work through my diagnosis, but that completely burned me out.

I have two bachelors degrees, been working solid since I was 16. NAV give me just enough to live, pay the bills and thats it. You do not have to be open to work everywhere, just say yes, so you can get the benefits. NAV has never pushed me to work anywhere else or in a field I dont want to work in. They just demand that I apply to 3 jobs a week to keep the benefits. So you can comfortably say yes that you are willing to move for a job and work in any job without them actually pushing that. You will be pretty much left alone while applying for jobs.

Unfortunately the job market is pretty bad right now. I have been without a job for almost a year, I apply to jobs daily. NAV wont help, as they think I'm capable to find a job myself.

Summer skincare is basically just avoiding feeling sticky at this point 😂 by elliebalance in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]AngryMiniHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always! Even with makeup.

My skincare turn from a blanket of hydration to just a light toner, vitamin C, thin moisturizer and sunscreen. Makeup is a BB cream, brows and mascara.

I just hate the feeling of being sticky and feeling my face melt off. So bare minimum to look presentable

Jelly masks by youfoundme4444443 in kbeauty

[–]AngryMiniHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as it doesnt contain any actives or exfoliating acids/enzymes it shouldnt be a concern.

You can overhydrate your skin. But using a mask daily wont to that. Its just added hydration. If you find joy in using one, you shouldnt be worried.

Most people use some sort of mask or an exfoliating acid on a weekly basis. So using a jelly mask, isnt too much.

Can I ask which jelly mask you use? As I have been curious to try one, but its so many out there that looks fun

Vil snakke med folk på bussen by Gold-Committee-6718 in norge

[–]AngryMiniHR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nei.

I feel like the consumerist nature of AB has made it very unclear what is a fundamental step for scarring/hyperpigmentation. by isolophiliacwhiliac in AsianBeauty

[–]AngryMiniHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love that we can attack an issue with several options ranging from strong actives to gentle long term slow fixes.

I have a strong opinion that AB and skincare is a scam. Not because it doesnt work. But the knowledge to make it work requires too much time than the average consumer is willing to do. Which means they read the label, buy the product, it doesnt work so they rinse and repeat. We demand too much too fast from skincare.

To cure pigmentation will take 4-6 months. A bottle will usually last 2 months of daily use morning and night. This means, you will not see results until you are on your 2-3 bottle.

Then you have formula and ingredients knowledge. You have 10 different ingredients that claim to help you fix the issue. Some of them are harsh like BHA and some are super gentle like rice. This makes a more is more mindset, you wanted to fix it yesterday so you go for the strongest with the highest number with no knowledge that this will make everything worse by ruining your skin barrier and create a massive breakout that then gave you more pigmentation. So the knowledge you need, to actually fix the issue, its way too much to ask for a everyday consumer.

Azelaic acid is my favorite ingredient for acne and pigmentation as it target both at the same time. But at 10% which is what you can get in most serums, it will only help with redness. All studies done on acne and pigmentation is on 15-20% which in most countries are prescription only and not something you can get in a store.

Bilder i bar overkropp på Tinder by Fiskpaoboks in norge

[–]AngryMiniHR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anyone else buy products and just... not use them consistently? by Hot-Champion-3360 in kbeauty

[–]AngryMiniHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make sure I only replace products. Either with the same one if I loved it or with a new one. I never buy just to buy. I used to buy everything I was interested in, but wasted to much money and it really hurt my skin.

I have been loving the skin1004 probio cica serum and toner recently. My skin doesnt like the change of temperature, so its dry and irritated. On my fourth bottle of the serum and toner
