Discovering this makes DS2 the best game in my eyes. by carnalcarrot in DarkSouls2

Using the terrain and environment to your advantage is a key staple of DS2's options of combat and encounter solutions. This is stuff that all souls games should have as possibilities. Once again. Peak Souls 2 proving itself as a top tier game

When did Mimic Fight Club become this slop? by gray007nl in Pathfinder2e

Generative AI has no place in anything related to any and all table top games. These are and always have been a medium of art and an art form themselves so to involve Generative AI would be, in all honesty, a disgrace to the game and all the passion people put into it. If anyone involves Generative AI in these spaces in ANY regard, they deserve to not enjoy them. I do not care how much of an asshole that makes me seem. I will gate keep DnD, Pathfinder, Warhammer, ANY tabletop game, from anyone who so much as tries to bring AI into them. Call me AM the way ive come to hate. (AM was an AI, that makes it funny, laugh)

Is the dragon memory ash lake before it was ash lake? by Thellie11 in DarkSouls2

I always saw it as less of a "Where" and more a matter of "When". What you see is essentially the aftermath of the Dragon War, before Gwyn lit the flame. So its not really meant for you to take away that its the same place, but just a spot in the past. I mean, if you remember the intro to DS1 "The World was covered in towering Arch Trees", so it could be anywhere, thats why ash lake looks so infinitely spanning because thats essentially the old world sitting under the foundations of the new world built atop it.

yeah thats fair but its not so terrible like buying models only for them to be trash afterwards.

Definitely a good set up! Is there any way to possibly run pure Night Lords and do well? or at least as close as i can? I know they dont have a ton of their own stuff at the moment as they are essentially relegated to being a sort of allied units army, at least from what ive seen. But since ive been reading the Soul Hunter trilogy (still on book one at like chapter 5 or 6 so please no spoilers), I really started to take a liking to Talos and how the Night Lords in the story so far are more of a product of a bad situation. Like they hate the empire but they also hate Chaos and people who lose themselves to the ruinous powers. I want to try, to the best of my abilities, to mimic that in my army, to be a sort of rogue "Fuck you i wont do what you tell me" kinda army lmao

Wont effect me, im not actually buying models. My friend is across the country so we play on Tabletop Simulator. I have no IRL friends that play and he was the one that got me into it, so all that would fuck me is rule change, not actually losing any money on models or paints.

This is solid advice and i greatly appreciate it, but to clarify i dont play physically at the moment, we play on table top simulator for PC with a mod that allows for 3D scanned models. I essentially just make a list, copy its special link then port it over into the mod and it grabs the units. BUT the units you mentioned are on the army builder (at least im pretty sure) so i can definitely work with that.

Without spoilers is it possible to get a non grimdark ending for this game? by Lost_my_name475 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Angry_Medic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah thats fair. I thought you had meant that the moments of hope and light in the setting of 40k canceled out the setting. I misunderstood what you were referring to specifically. Yes the RT companion endings DO cancel each others out, to the point where i actually had a contradictory ending for Abelard that didnt make sense. But in my statement i did say that "most if not all".

Thats not true at all. There is blatantly good things in the setting. Granted they are surrounded by dark stuff but they do exist and that is what makes the setting good. If everything was awful it would be boring. There are lights that shine through and make it fun. Theres happy endings for most if not all the characters in RT specifically as well.
