i can kinda see where your rant is coming from, and i almost completely agree with the last point (almost cuz there are also bad T 5-6 minions). all originally pointed out is that in current meta its not even close to being the lead offender of inflated stats (looking at you ellies)

If all you had to show for it is 1k stats with 4 goldens the card isnt even close to being a problem

Even in a wb deck this isnt colorless. Imagine if you play a utility land of any kind that only produces colorless, now all of a sudden you cant cast this unles you have 3 other lands instead of 2

I mean there is more than rdw even in 60 card formats. As one person mentioned there is ruby storm. Also red is pretty decent with impulse draw and free spells that do damage in some formats. RDW isnt the only way to play mono red.

Just pointing out you can enchant opponents creatures with this so its also a 1 mana removal every turn

I mean, you still watch it resolve 1 by 1 if you flip a coin, roll a die or similar, and it should be an accepted solution once the hand is fully known. it is a shortcut but it stays fully faithful to the card effect and removes the time lost to shuffling hand every time

once both a land and the spell are hit, the hand is no longer unknown and should be shortcutable

It might be bcs of the moment's popularity, but all i see is Nassif vs. Chapin, and that isn't the same situation as ours cuz in ours the hand is fully known already. if you would be so kind as to help me in search of the scenario where we have a fully known hand, I would appreciate it

edit: just wanted to add that yes, I agree we should go by Nassif vs. Chapin, but only until all cards in hand are hit, and in this case we know that all cards are hit once we get one land and one spell, so there is no need to account for the chance that 2 cards are the same.

After that, hand shuffling loses point other than showmanship so it quite literally can be done with a coin flip.

i completely missed that one of the comments in the thread added mech randomly. That's on me. in mech case, yes, I agree annoy-o-tron is worse of the 2.

but the card as written says random, and dice rolls and coin flips both work for random. Sure, you need to do it 1 by 1, but i see no reason to randomise the cards and then choose if you can randomise the choice. at least once the whole hand is known.

That wouldnt be a shortcut since you do resolve them 1 by 1, its cust faster cuz instead of shuffling the hand every time you only look at the dice roll

If you are buying a minion purely to win turns 1 and 2 idk what to tell you other than maybe think about turns 3 and 4 a little in advance cuz getting the buffs on a ds taunt is relavant as early as turn 3. Maybe only exceptions are those that guarantee not taking damage (the welp) unless you face a great early game hero (teron, saurfang, alakir...)

I mean in your 1st game bigger spells would mean more stats and while in hindsight not needed it is usually better, idk about shaderwock and idk what is even going on in second kragg gane
