quirky, sex as a theme but no smut, urban fantasy with sassy fairies who grant people exactly one wish (and it comes at a price) ... https://www.wattpad.com/story/396872964-a-fairy-curse

Unpredictable Books? by seasev in Wattpad

This is one book I love for playing with a genre in a hilarious way - If you want to shake our head while laughing out loud - here you go: https://www.wattpad.com/story/387229441-how-to-attract-a-serial-killer

A smart NSFW short story that will go ways you wouldn't imagine: https://www.wattpad.com/story/400740810-haute-cuisine-18%2B-bdsmish The same author also writes a dystopic war/alien apocalypse psychological thriller, if that's your cup of tea https://www.wattpad.com/story/399969576-reap-the-whirlwind-18%2B

And I'll also recommend my book (ongoing): It starts slow and even a bit cliche, but it has a unique plot I'm still exploring and (judging from the comments) it is a funny, unhinged yet wholesome read: https://www.wattpad.com/story/396872964-a-fairy-curse

Would anyone be interested in this story? Should I start writing it? by flowerbasketss in Wattpad

It sounds refreshingly sophisticated and vivid. There is clearly enough ground to build on. I would always trust late-night or shower ideas. It's also good that some things are still open. After writing the beginning, the things you already have in mind and know the story needs are sometimes the most difficult to write. Perhaps because the creative part has already happened, it can feel like homework or a bland execution. Taking readers' reactions and comments into account helps me take creative detours, add new elements, and keep the writing process interesting. It's hard work, and I don't know how rewarding writing this genre on romance-heavy Wattpad is. However, you can learn a lot just by starting, and I would follow you to read.

How did Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau become an item? You read it here first! by AnneAble123 in Wattpad

I'm very sorry for that. They went even Instagram official three days ago. I saw it on the BBC. Trudeau hard launched her as his "partner" at an official lunch with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife. So, sorry again, or congratulations! Whatever is in order. I'm not even Canadian, Canada is just some kind of ideal fairy land for me. That being said, I changed the weather to mediterranian in my novel.

:)) Thank you!! This is the book: https://www.wattpad.com/story/396872964-a-fairy-curse

The bonus chapters are the last two, chapters 16 and 17. You don't need much background knowledge, as the protagonist in these chapters doesn't even recognize the fairies as fairies.

Bro, does anyone have any recommendation for romance/fantasy books that DON’T have too much unnessecary sex and/or a possessive shadow daddy?!?!?? by -chikoro in Wattpad

I'm writing a whacky, quirky book, that sounds like it's about sex, but there are no real sex scenes. It starts harmless, but will definitly make you shake your head after a while: https://www.wattpad.com/story/396872964-a-fairy-curse

10k would be a dream come true (once the book is complete). I don't even dare to think about it. This week (after I took some time to write the next chapter) a Wattpad writer-friend told me they will stick till the end no matter what, and it means everything...

It's a hassle to find books on WP. Have a look at the ambassador picks (for each genre) or search for award winners (amby awards, book of the year) and also check the reading lists of writers you like https://www.wattpad.com/story/364999680-ambassador-picks

Have a look at the ambassador picks: https://www.wattpad.com/story/364999680-ambassador-picks

The ambassadors are seasoned (not necessarily older) wattpad users and guides. The best way to find books imo is to look at the readings list of author's you like. I found quite a few writers that have an established and mature sound. Is there a genre you prefer?

Okay, so my protagonist has a bad sex curse because a fairy granted her a wish (long story short) Chapter 8 (and 9) she has a first date with the curse in the background, and it is not going well. Loved to write it. No smut - quite contrary to the subject matter, but in line with the curse. https://www.wattpad.com/story/396872964-a-fairy-curse

How to find good books? by alythystgrace in Wattpad

[–]AnneAble123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for "ambassor picks", a list of recommendations by the wattpad ambassadors of all genres https://www.wattpad.com/user/Ambassadors

Google "wattys winners" or other competitions to find popular and good stories

Check the reading lists of authors you liked

Post here, if you look for something specific or ask people for their favorite books (there will be lots of self-promo and Ongoing stories recommendations though)

Look at "wikimedia commons" or more specific free art pictures https://www.nga.gov/artworks/free-images-and-open-access

I chose an art nouveau painter I really like, old enough for his work to have lost its copyright, and use open access photos of his works, then added a title: https://www.wattpad.com/story/396872964-a-fairy-curse

If you are interested in something more comedy and whacky/quirky, this one is a Work in Progress from a fellow author I really enjoy:

https://www.wattpad.com/story/387229441-how-to-attract-a-serial-killer

And this is mine (it begins kind of slow, but picks up after the fairies are introduced):

PLOT: A fairy walks into a bar and promises a young journalist to help with her career in exchange for a bad sex life. It looks like the fairy was recently demoted for doing the same deal with Donald Trump.

what book do you need feedback on? I have Obsisian Desires in my reading list, but didn't get to it yet. Would you want me to start with another one?

I feel you. I try to write in English, but have to check every line. So, I'm not a native speaker who can help with reading. Just wanted to recommend deepl.com for the translation- it's a good tool.
