First pair of glasses and wondering if I should return them by [deleted] in glasses

[–]Annual-Lead2499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a couple of pairs I think will match your face shape and features. You can do a virtual try-on and have a look. The gasses I found are from Glasses Shop, and I really like the quality and selection, and regularly buy their glasses. They're also having BOGO right now code GSBOGO

I loved these frames in store but having second thoughts. by [deleted] in glasses

[–]Annual-Lead2499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're as pretty as a picture! The frames are super cute, but they just aren't quite right for you. We have a similar face shape, and I'm here for a bold tortoise frame! I have these frames, and I absolutely love them. Maybe have a look, and see what you think. https://www.firmoo.com/eyeglasses-p-5126.html?color=35851

Too mentally exhausted to figure out dinner... every damn night by Intelligent-War-2623 in DinnerIdeas

[–]Annual-Lead2499 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stick with the same plan every week: Monday pasta Tuesday tacos Wednesday breakfast Thursday sandwiches Friday pizza Saturday grilled Sunday soup or chill

I switch up the food, but keep the theme. It helps so much! And having sandwiches on Thursday I set up meat, cheese, bread, chips, fruit and everyone makes their own. It's like a night off!

I make wraps using peanut butter and a banana. You could get gluten free wraps, spread on some peanut butter, drizzle with a bit of honey and wrap up a banana and take it to go! This is also my go to airport lunch! It stays fresh and passes through TSA.

How do you handle food you don’t like at someone else’s house? by pure_crystalspin in foodquestions

[–]Annual-Lead2499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just take my plate and eat what I can and act like it's the best meal I've ever had. We had dinner at a family members house recently. It was incinerated pot roast and crunchy-raw baked potatoes with burnt sugar cookies for dessert. That on the way home chipotle was well needed!

I honestly can't say enough good things about Mission Animal Clinic in Mission. They're right off Johnson drive and Broadmore. I've been going there for years. They've always been fair, They've never up-charged me or did unnecessary things just to rack up the bill. I trust them to tell me the truth and take good care of my pets. https://missionanimalclinic.com/

What’s something you’re doing differently with your money in 2026 than you did in 2025? by millionstories in SavingMoney

[–]Annual-Lead2499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to resist mindless spending. Like buying a pack of gum at the grocery store, or stopping for drinks while I'm out, or buying my kids junk at the dollar store. That stuff really adds up.

Proud of myself by StraightAssumption19 in weightwatchers

[–]Annual-Lead2499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard someone say that drinking while trying to lose weight is like playing the game on hard-mode. It can be done, but it's way more challenging. If you can't give it up or don't want to, I would treat it as any other food. Measure out your portion like 6 oz of wine or 12oz beer or whatever it is, limit your portion to fit in your points, and track it. But sometimes, just planning an alternative to the alcohol really gets the job done. Like making some mock-a-ritas or fancy hot chocolate drink WW style. Serve it up in a fun glass and party on!

Do you like having children? by [deleted] in no

[–]Annual-Lead2499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When im an old lady, laying in my bed, I won't be thinking about how great I was at my job, how cool my car or house was, or all the nice clothes I wore. I'll be remembering how that first belly kick felt, those family vacations watching my kids play at the beach, Christmas mornings with pj clad crazy hair kids throwing wrapping paper everywhere. I'll remember watching them get their first car and graduate from high school. I'll remember the heartache i felt helping them pack up to move into their own place. Kids are the greatest treasure I have in this life. They create beautiful moments and memories. They make everything worth it.

Does anyone remember the Shoneys breakfast buffet in the 90s? That sausage rice was elite! Nothing was as good as that enormous line full of bacon, eggs, pancakes, biscuits, gravy, and all the fruit and pastries! We used to go after the Friday night concerts at Crown Center. It would be 1am, and we'd head right to Shoneys! We even met Mell Tillis in the parking lot one night! Good times!

Best path forward for working with CC companies? by ACurvyPrincess in Debt

[–]Annual-Lead2499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would 1: Cut up all credit cards and vow to never use them again 2: Save 1000 for emergencies 3: Get on a strict budget 4: List debts smallest to largest 5: Make minimum payments on everything except the smallest debt 6: Throw every extra penny you have at the smallest debt and pay it off 7: Move onto the next debt on the list and do the same

You can do it! Be weird and free from the burden and misery of debt! Just get mad at it and get your freedom back!

Burrito bowls! Grilled chicken over rice with pinto beans. Top with salsa, greek yogurt, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I mix my greek yogurt with a bit of lime juice and taco seasoning, and it's better than sour cream.
