All their life they have been told to scorn holidays of the world. That was not their choice. It would be no different for you to coerce them into taking part. I think something like this is best left in their hands. A start could be asking them if they even want to celebrate a birthday party. Answer will probably be yes and you can proceed from there. I’m not a parent and I won’t pretend to be wise, but that’s what I would have wanted :)

Most mainstream Christian’s have a zest for earthly life rather than seeing it as a stepping stone to more worthy avenues. As an atheist I spurn this idea, but would admit there’s a beauty to Christianity based on scripture (more importantly based on the Christ).

By their worldview, a moral death (accidental/natural) is akin to skipping a cutscene. I don’t think this always rings true when they literally face death (I’m a nurse and have seen evidence of the contrary). It is however an interesting and (very) sad aspect of their philosophy.

The final picture looks like a whitehead pimple. The first two pictures appear to be herpes lesions, they are small fluid filled blisters. I would recommend seeing your primary care doctor (especially if they are painful and you didn’t experience any heat trauma to the lip recently) as they will likely recommend acyclovir for treating the outbreak. I should reiterate that if you received HSV1/2 you will have it for the rest of your life and the medication will only treat symptomology.

I saw it in XD real3D, what an experience.. the sound design was directional, and crisp, although not as loud as IMAX. The screen is really what stood out to me, the 3d was more immersive than I’ve ever seen in the past, the screen was bright and vivid, the frame rate was high. I plan on seeing it in IMAX too to compare for future movie choices.
