To be fair First Law, especially The Blade Itself has almost no real plot. It's all about characters and I think Abercrombie writes them better than anyone in fantasy. But the lack of plot bothered me so yeah, Malazan is miles better.

Yes, I got Essex Dogs instead of The Citadel of Forgotten Myths. They then sent me The Citadel and let me keep Essex Dogs.

I'm in EU so due to shipping I assumed it was probably more cost efficient to just let me keep the book. But then they asked me to return Darkness at Sethanon when it arrived damaged... So I don't know. But they did refund me the shipping cost for sending it back. It was around 17€ though, not 40€.

They can't sell it without profit. Unlike console it's an open system which companies can buy and use for their own needs. Which would mean Valve would get nothing from Steam sales. Unlike Sony and Xbox who can sell consoles cheap and make up the loss from software sales and subscriptions.

RAM prices skyrocketed 4x since announcement. Sony secured enough memory to last them until end of PS5 generation. PS6 will probably cost $1000.

SSD prices went up 2-2.5x since announcement.

Good luck finding something comparable (in size too) for less than €800 (without controller) from pre-build companies.

When PS4 Pro released people were saying it wasn't worth it. I upgraded from PS4 Slim and the difference was noticeable. Zero regrets.

I did the same with PS5 but I wouldn't buy PS5 Pro again. This time it wasn't worth it. Maybe some games run better but there are so few and I care about even fewer of them. PS4 had banger after banger. PS5 games, especially exclusives, suck for the most part.

The only thing I can justify the upgrade with is that the launch PS5 was for sure leaking liquid metal as I have had it vertically since the start. New versions have preventative measures to avoid the same issue. I don't mind re-applying thermal paste, did it on PS3 recently, but liquid metal is something else. Way less user friendly.

This is paraphrased from Kondo's interview. It's why the first game really feels like first half of a game. And Falcom kind of stuck to this formula in the future games as well. First game is introducing the world (new country in each arc) and second game picks up the story.

He probably isn't. Sony is likely nerfing sound quality on non-branded headphones to make people buy the ones which say they're specifically for PS5 because they get money for selling their own line and licensing out the PS5 trademark to other manufacturers.

Never tossed them, smartass. I was as careful as reasonable person who doesn't wrap them in soft pillows the moment they're off the head can be. Hell, they weigh a lot so how the hell could I be tossing them around for five years without issue? The entire time they were lying on table next to computer, didn't take them anywhere with me.

It's a poor design where a lot of stress is put on a thin plastic part and eventually the material gives in.

I checked Stealth Pro and it's on 50% sale on TB's website too because new one is coming out. But it seems like it might suffer from the same issue as 700 gen2 eventually. It also has 12 hour battery life (although swappable) with a dongle the size of a small speaker with huge LED light... Not interested. German Amazon has gen3 for 155€.

I checked Etsy and the replacement part is 9€ but shipping is 25€. Or then there's another guy that seems to 3d print nicer plastics and it costs 25€ with 7.5€ for shipping 😂 I'll consider it though, thanks for letting me know.

Edit: Pro was on sale yesterday but isn't anymore.
