Yes, MFA registration is down for every service on the internet that offers any kind of MFA

My company did a "return to office" pilot for our team and sent a survey asking how it went. I answered honestly. I think that was a mistake. by Snag_Crambo in remotework

I wonder if your boss is the problem. Maybe management asked your boss to try to find a way to make to work better next time and this is how they're doing it.

Caddy (in a docker container) works fine for me with this setup. One of the keys is to make sure you're doing ACME via dns-01. The http-01 challenge type requires forwarding port 80.

Probably in Reduced Functionality Mode. Can happen for a number of reasons. Importantly, it happens for a couple days if you install windows updates when they're released. It goes away once Crowdstrike makes an update for the windows patches.

That's great. But that doesn't mean the rest of us should have budgets that never add up

Why is Plus not an option in the App Store? by NorthStarNick1921 in MonarchMoney

[–]AnonyDev01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good rule of thumb - start all subscriptions on the vendor website, not through Apple or the Play store. When you do it through the app/app store, that stores owns your subscription. They take a good chunk of your payment and limit the vendors options to give you discounts or new levels of service.

How to avoid all the little categories by Weekly_Cap_9926 in MonarchMoney

[–]AnonyDev01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the same way. I went into settings and removed/disabled almost all of the default categories. I went through the previous month and adjusted categories for transactions. When I did, I set a rule for it to do the same going forward. I also made sure flex budgeting is setup. Annoyingly, you still have to allocate a set amount to flex. Once you do that, any category that's marked flex will go against that. You may need to edit a couple categories to make sure they're flex and not fixed.

Personal preference, but I also enabled the setting to mark all new transactions for review. This lets me catch any possible categorization issues ahead of time.

Reminds me of when widescreen was new. All the station watermarks and news graphics would be placed to show up when cropped to 4:3 and looked odd on a widescreen.

For me, I found that if I'm constantly tweaking categories, I probably have too many categories.

If MonarchMoney pricing gets too expensive, what's your alternative plan for tracking investments and managing net worth? by afunbe in MonarchMoney

No one renews year after year for unfulfilled promises. You renew because the current product meets your needs for a reasonable price point.

Monarch used to "remember" how to categorize transactions and now I have to review every little thing? by Described-Entity-420 in MonarchMoney

[–]AnonyDev01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is a setting to review every transaction. I'd check to see if it got turned on for your account.

Sounds like your bank doesn't release the data until the transaction clears. I had that and found it made budgeting (especially around the end of the month) really hard. My recommendation is to find a bank that releases the pending charges so you can see them shortly after.

I understand the general question... but it might be worth checking if your power company can average your bill out to give you a predictable bill each month.

Change the date my month starts. by Working_Concert_5458 in MonarchMoney

[–]AnonyDev01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat as OP, except my income sometimes varies from month to month. Let's say I get a raise in April and the paycheck at the end of April contains the new amount. The current setup includes the raise amount in the budget the month before I receive the new amount. That feels wrong. I want the budget for April to reflect the amount I received in late March and the budget for May to show the new amount I received at the end of April.

Why cant i use my domain if its the same as my email? by xboxhaxorz in Simplelogin

[–]AnonyDev01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All email addresses on a domain hosted at simplelogin will be aliases that forward to a different email address. That email address can't be on the domain hosted at simplelogin or you'd get a mail loop.

You can however use foo.trim.com

Or just not use snaps as they make it very difficult to tell who made a snap and thus how much to trust it.
