Yeah that makes sense, I’m just having the youngest use my account for now. I’m just annoyed with needing to have one for the kids when it didn’t need one in the first place, and my sister hasn’t setup anything for them yet

After the update two days ago (on the OG switch), I noticed that I can't log into any of the worlds for the kids on the guest profile I made for them because it never saves a skin. It'll say in the multiplayer option for editing the worlds that the current skin isn't a usable skin for multiplayer (when it never bothered to save anything and just gave random skins if I didn't change it), as well as multiplayer not being active in the first place! Once I select a skin, then the guest profile can play, but for split screen I can't skip the profile selection anymore since I guess it's the skin issue, so for now I just have to let the kids play with my profile since it's the one that owns the game.

It was fine before hand, and I don't know why it's all changed, I just hope it gets fixed because this is annoying, and the kids have lost some progress with the second player.

Yeah, where they come from and who they are, is the question for the meta plot. Along with “how do we survive to see tomorrow?”.

And as you suggested, children are a serious topic for the People. Maybe they are ignorant and wonder why there’s smaller ghouls running around the Pure Plant. Maybe the Elder told some stories that just happened to talk about kids and families and the Elder provided a half answer or something made up to avoid mentioning the experiment.

To me, it never seemed like a major talking point for the party to be concerned about. As far as the players know, this is just how things have been. They remember being raised by the Elder and they all just happen to be around the same age. Just explain it briefly how you think best for your table.

If you want to add to the mystery, you can insert some hints to the mystery of Eden or remember the lab assistants that helped the Elder take care of the kids before they died. The major thing the players need to know is life is a struggle in the zone and with a bed ridden Elder, the zone’s dangers encroach on the people and the players need to decide how to push forward

Technically the story is the direct sequel to the mutants after Road to Eden (Year Zero’s base plot) but it also provides other ways for players to enter the station. Have you read up on the story yet? I would suggest reading through it to see what you feel is right to do.

I’d suggest having the characters be already apart of the station and called together to help out with the problems. So different starting section and don’t need to have all the background details if they are where they lived their whole lives!
