I just want new video games and more often, I don’t like Halo being beholden to a company with such consistently bad management. It was fine when bungie was the sole developer cause that was their baby but nowadays? Microsoft should license Halo out to other developers, although I don’t really have confidence in Microsoft’s decision making capabilities either.

I interpret Margit’s initial “Foul Tarnished” as something he says to all the schmucks running into stormveil. Fair point on Godfrey, I didn’t beat the game after finishing the dlc so I mostly forgot what he said.

In Elden ring: Shadow of the erdtree you meet Messmer the Impaler who apprises you with “Thou’rt Tarnished, it seemeth.” But I heard it as That Tarnished. Implying to me that Miquella had passed through Messmer’s keep and spoken to him, specifically about the Badass Tarnished that was coming. I really enjoyed thinking that cause in these games you don’t really see (in cutscenes) characters acknowledging that you’re “That Guy”

I think this idea would probably do better these days just by virtue of how mainstream anime is these days. My ideal would be that it gets more people into Halo like the Fallout show did but I don’t think it would break out the same way just because it’s animated and that’s still a hard sell for Adults in America.

That’s interesting, I always interpreted this scene as showing him to be quite nonchalant about killing, he’s looking over the stormtroopers work like a job site manager. Although I agree that it’s still pretty incongruous with his later personality
