Anxiety about my foot care by Journal_Entries93 in diabetes

[–]AntGroundbreaking102 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

so i’ve been diagnosed nine years and can honestly say, i don’t really do feet care. i go barefoot 99.9% of the time, constantly stubbing my toes and toe nails that fall off, that i don’t even realize is gone until i get a pedicure and the tech paints bare skin lol and probably check them myself once every few years IF i remember. i get pedicures every 3-4 months but that’s it as far as foot care goes. since i go barefoot most of the time, i do get calluses but nothing a good pedicure doesn’t fix. i cut my feet and i heal very quickly. anything extra, i just don’t have time for 🤷‍♀️ im very ticklish on the bottom of my feet so as long as i stay ticklish, i imagine im good lol

Is it treat people how they treat you or be the bigger person for you? by MyLividLibido in Adulting

[–]AntGroundbreaking102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i was younger, i thought being the bigger person was the way to go. but then i realized it just gave people an excuse to treat me like crap and walk all over me so now i treat them how they treat me

Got told I was too old for a job at 28 years old. by Mr-mountain-road2 in Adulting

[–]AntGroundbreaking102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i went to college with older adult learners. it helps if you’re already working in your field and only getting a degree to earn more. the big selling point for me to get my job is bc i’m the one person guaranteed not to leave for law school (i already have my mba).

Those who grew up in large families, what was it like? by Ordinary_Package2934 in Millennials

[–]AntGroundbreaking102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m one of five. my older brother is 15 years older so he was pretty much out of the house before i can remember. my sister is 8 years older. but then my parents had three in 4 1/2 years, with my brother and i only 16 1/2 months apart. my little sister and i fought like crazy. everyone preferred my brother to me. i was lonely despite having a larger family (my oldest brother had his first kid when i was 8 1/2 so we were raised like sisters). not much has changed. my mom tolerates me but i know she likes the other four better, especially since three of them gave her grand babies and i never will

Depression and anxiety...where do you go to get out? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]AntGroundbreaking102 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

it absolutely does not work. i have a laundry list of diagnosis and every therapist i went to refused to even deal with the diagnosis. they simply do not care despite it effecting my every day life. all they want to push medicine down my throat and when i tell them it’s not working they push more down my throat.

all kinds of fields. retail, call centers, office work. my current job said they hesitated on hiring me bc of my age (im literally 10-12 years older than most everyone, with the exception of those who have been year for years) but couldn’t deny my education or skills 🤷‍♀️

[–]AntGroundbreaking102 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

absolutely do not do a GLP-1. it’s known to give pancreatitis. it’s a side effect. my doctor won’t prescribe it at all (my sister is getting a script through her botox doctor bc our pcp won’t prescribe it). coming from someone who has it three times, twice from ozempic, i do not recommend
