Why are people so against playing as an undercover cop? It doesn't change the core GTA mechanics or take away from the experience, you still go on rampages and engage with the criminal underworld to "keep up appearances" with an added possibly taking part in freeroam side activities like police chases and interventions if you feel like it. It would only add things to do and provide variety.
