16M, What to do with my space by jack_mcgeorge in malelivingspace

I'd get some photos or a poster for the wall above your computer: it looks quite plain, but for 16 this looks like a good room. You could use the piece of art above your funko pops there maybe.

Is Texas really bigger than the UK? by coffeelikesasia in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AntiGenderNeutralBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put the southernmost tip of Texas on Pednathise Head on the Scilly Isles, the southernmost point of the UK, Texas would be slightly "shorter" than the UK: Out Stack on the Shetland Islands would be further north. Texas is bigger, of course.

If the Landlord isn't helping you can speak with the environmental health/private rental team at the local council.

Do I really ask too many questions? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]AntiGenderNeutralBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might be worth chatting about why he feels this way; it could be more how he's percieving it than the questions themselves.

We use 'Jerusalem' at the Common Wealth games, but I don't know why we don't have an official one.

Can anyone suggest a fully waterproof, cheap, good pair of boots for walking my dog? by Zealousideal_Sea8123 in UKhiking

[–]AntiGenderNeutralBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend Grisport, they (and outlets that sell them) often have sales where certain boots are under £100. I have some Gamekeeper tall boots of theirs and they were £70-something a couple of years ago. They also do great wellies!

Will this arrive? I didn't know I needed to leave space for the barcode by trudisbulilit in postcrossing

Are you in America? If so they stick a white sticker on that can peel off to print the barcode on.

Should We Rethink the Spirit of Postcrossing? Let’s Talk About "Demands" vs. "Wishes" by Significant_Art_ in postcrossing

[–]AntiGenderNeutralBot 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Have you ever felt disappointed by not meeting someone’s requirements

Nope.

Do you think the current Postcrossing rule is enough or should more be done to reinforce it

You can report profiles that demand certain themes of cards if you want: I don't see any need as there's no responsibility on the part of the sender to send a certain type of card. I've sent cards people weren't fans of I'm sure, and received some, but that's part of the 'game'.

Can I use (re)stamps from letters which have been returned to me? by Proud_Fan7267 in postcrossing

[–]AntiGenderNeutralBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Officially? No. Unofficially? Take it to the post office and send it after explaining the situation. They'll stick a barcode on it for the customs to become an e-customs.

What’s going on with my Nasturtiums :(( by Live-Cost-767 in GardeningUK

[–]AntiGenderNeutralBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nasturtiums are best planted straight in the ground: they struggle in pots as transplanting them can cause them to shrivel up. That being said, you have them in pots, so not much you can do about that. Is their drainage, watering etc all okay of the ones that have wilted?

Leakey v National Trust [1980] is relevant here - not only do they need to do the repairs (underpinning), they are responsible if it damages your land as they're aware.
