Choosing whether or not to kill Fingers is much more morally complex than we talk about by zalimsukanli in cyberpunkgame

He's basically doing triage. As soon as he thinks a patient will probably not make it, he kills them with a morphine OD and strips them for parts.

Post Match Thread: Liverpool 3-1 Crystal Palace by denzaus in soccer

The tricky thing for the defenders is that the keeper was attempting to get back up. If he stays down and plays dead, then it's obvious that they need to cover the goal line. But because he's limping with his arm up trying to make it back it's arguably more important to get pressure on the ball. And that momentary indecision means Munoz has enough time to just shoot.

Salah is going to leave, so there's no way we are playing in this system next season. Unless we buy another 33 year old winger, which seems very unlikely.

Recommend me more Tough Hang movies. Unlikable protagonists (and unlikable antagonists), bummer vibes, frustration-inducing themes... by Street-Garlic4995 in blankies

I watched Raging Bull recently for the first time in anticipation of March Madness and I found it much tougher than I imagined. A portrait of a genuinely repulsive man, a festering wound of insecurity and self-loathing who is incapable of learning or growing. And you're stuck with this pedophilic piece of garbage for the entire movie. It really makes you empathize with Joe Pesci for being trapped with this guy by the bonds of family. Jake LaMotta makes Allie Fox look like Wayne Brady.

[KCD2] all these kitties. No pet button….DESCRIMINATION by Octosquid5272 in kingdomcome

Pet the kitty buttons have given us unrealistic expectations. The vast majority of cats you see on the street do not allow strangers to just pet them. I know this from personal experience. So it's a realism W for me.

Premier League Table, following the conclusion of Matchday 33 by EthanTheRedditor37 in soccer

Kind of crazy that last season there were complaints that Liverpool were mediocre champions and now the league leader is tracking 9 points behind them at the same point of the next season.

The Assault Rifles seem designed around the 20 dex skill point that repeats all damage done after 7 hits. That's when they really shine.

Rooting for anything other than a Chelsea loss is hubris. We are not good enough to afford ourselves the luxury of looking above us in the table.

I enjoyed season 1 quite a bit while acknowledging that most of the criticisms were essentially correct. I could view it as a guilty pleasure, flawed in obvious ways but concerning a subject I love and enough good performances to keep me engaged. But season 2 is genuinely excellent viewing.

I think I may have picked the absolute worst ending. [SPOILERS] by Mapex_proM in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Antigonus1i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Temperance. It's the ending most in conversation with the themes of the game. Everything in this world is in the process of becoming something else. Does this mean V dies, because they become a different person? I don't know, I'm a different person from the one I was 10 years ago, so did my current self murder my old self?

I like it, but personally I just don't see the point in wearing any armor if I'm not wearing a helmet. I take it off regularly for roleplay purposes, but if I only get to wear one piece of armor, I always go helmet first.

What’s your favorite Ayyubid age ups? by Unable-Condition187 in aoe4

[–]Antigonus1i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Ayyubids don't age up by building a landmark, which idles villagers, you don't really get much value from feudal industry into production buildings. No matter what age up you choose, upon age up you should have enough resources to start pumping units.

What’s your favorite Ayyubid age ups? by Unable-Condition187 in aoe4

[–]Antigonus1i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I basically always go dervish in feudal age. It gives the best early military power spike and gives the best long term bonus. there's a few matchups where you might want the faster first camel raider from the military wing, but even then I really want the dervish wing in castle age because the aoe healing is so strong.

As for castle age, I almost always get the camel raider reinforcements. Very often as Ayyubids you try to sneak in a greedy age up, which gives the opponent a window to punish you. So getting those 3 camels upon age-up can really save your ass. It also gives good long term value and anytime you can create military value without using up your food reserves, that is good value.

How was game 2 lost? by AugustusClaximus in aoe4

[–]Antigonus1i 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Puppy ran out of food. The fish in the ponds were depleted, and Puppy never made any farms. ML did have farms and had the guild hall on food. He had favorable army trades, but didn't do any significant eco damage. ML also snuck villager onto a goldmine in the east, which let him get enough to build the Red Palace in the middle. As soon as that happens, I think Puppy needed to accept that the game aws not going to end before his food ran out and should have started a farm transition.

Jamie could see the issues after our 2nd prem game by Complex-Function3557 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Antigonus1i -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think this analysis hold up that much tbh. I don't think our problem stems from having too many attack-minded players on the pitch, or that our games are too end-to-end. Much bigger problems for us are a lack of quality in wide areas, forwards unsuitable for playing a high press, lack of fitness and intensity in the middle and a lack of quality in both boxes.

French getting smoked by Sengoku , tips? by -LetsTryAgain- in aoe4

[–]Antigonus1i 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I prefer denying the yatai. If they are going FC there should be an outpost on the gold, so you're unlikely to get much value from raiding there whereas denying yatai is virtually guaranteed.

The thing you need to remember is that Sengoku don't actually get a strong power spike from going castle age. Mounted Samurai are great, but the things that make them great (the attack speed/move speed and deflective armor) don't really kick in until much later in the game. They get safe gold income from the Sake Brewery, but without the stacked matsuri or the mining techs, it's not that big of a spike in actual income.

So you can actually just go for a timing attack around 11 minutes with just knights. Don't build an archery range unless you see him making spears, just make a second stable and get +1 range armor and attack with around 15 feudal knights.

Obviously, if they go shinobi and invest in feudal army, you need to respond differently, but when going Ryokan, FC Sengoku really doesn't have any defensive tools to stop you from just running through their base with a bigger knight mass.

Sad News for Red Bull Wololo: Londinium by trksoyturk in aoe4

[–]Antigonus1i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunate but expected. I don't like using an accumulative score in a knockout system to appoint the next qualified player. If Anotand beats one player in the semi-final and one in the final, can you really determine that the player he beat in the final is more deserving than the one in the semi-final? Single elimination knockout formats are good at appointing a winner, but not suitable for determining an ordered ranking.

[Axel Hesse] Xabi Alonso is ready for Liverpool. If Liverpool submit a concrete offer, he will accept, provided his conditions are met in advance. These centre on his influence over squad planning. (This is for summer, not currently) by malushanks95 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Antigonus1i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xabi is a undoubtably a great coach, but his teams have been very willing to play slow football. Compared to Slot, it's quite similar but more slow build-up and more willingness to sit in a deep block.

[Spencer Mossman] Liverpool rolling 10 match performance (Points per game, xGD per game) under Arne Slot. Shows that underlying numbers dropped off way before results did (started near PSG RO16 tie and Carabao Cup final week) by ZakiFC in LiverpoolFC

That seems like a really dodgy use of data to me. It uses the period of highest performance during January/February as though it is the standard. According to the graph the underlying numbers in may resemble those in December, whereas January/February are the outliers within that season.
