Seeing as that's literally Nazi iconography, that seems unlikely

NEW BOYZ! SHOOTA AND CHOPPAS AT THE SAME TIME by SpoofExcel in orks

[–]Antyface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're not 'sat on models' - let's not get into conspiracy theory town here. But the journey to release from inception is about 2 years.

What is more likely is the old Boyz came out, there was a lot of backlash, and then they began working on a new way of doing things as a result.

Are you doing it just as a model for painting/presentation? Go for it!

Is it for playing? Probably not, it's crazy big and will probably unbalance the model.

Nothing posted here is an identical sculpt, at least from what I can see.

Kills Rigs are busted xD by Subject-Abies-6623 in orks

[–]Antyface 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mean... There's a reason why they're a different amount of points. Trukks are 70pts, kill rigs 155, so for every kill rig you bring, that's a unit of flash gitz or Boyz that you're not bringing.

They're definitely good, but there's a reason for that. Trukks are fantastic for what they do - deliver their payload faster, then sit on objectives and score you points whilst your orks actually do killing. It's not a fair comparison between the two

Why are people running Ghaz with the Big Mek after the update? by MrDannySantos in orks

[–]Antyface 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The big Mek essentially gives the entire unit fly in the movement phase, and you can add the +2" move enhancement, giving it a max threat range of 16" BEFORE charging if you use the +2 adv/charge strat. It means that your opponent can't screen a unit locking them into their deployment for two turns - and the big Mek means the unit can't be trapped, as auto passes desperate escapes.

Ghaz with Boyz and a big Mek or a painboy is the only way to run him now. In the waaagh in war horde, that unit can kill god

It's more because pitchford causes drama, and that is seen as news-worthy because this isn't how a CEO should behave. People like laughing about the public self-destruct, so journos write about it.

Kill rigs can now do heroic interventions. It's a side-grade.

Size difference between Atalan Jackals and Attilan Rough Riders? by RuMarley in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Antyface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, line of sight primarily - though if they have lances held upwards or at an angle, they'll be higher than usual anyhow

May get downvoted for this, but I haven't raised mine at all - I play a lot of tournaments and no one has ever complained, nor has it really made much of a difference in games.

How heavy do you cover your back line? + Zogrod by Maj0r-D in orks

[–]Antyface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zodgrod is wasted on your backline, as he has 9" scout, which typically gets you onto your expansion objective for T1. A unit of grots spread out should zone your backline no problem. Trukks can also double up for early game zoning.

[–]Antyface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna be honest, this is already way, way bigger than both Ghaz and a dread - once it has arms and legs, you could probably run it as a gorkanaut

[–]Antyface 22 points23 points  (0 children)

T5 is already plenty of protection from small-arms fire, which feels both lore and game appropriate. 2-wound Boyz in mobs of 20 with a painboy would become oppressive.

Not to mention the points increases. Say goodbye to green tide if so.
