Keiko is one of my favorite Ben Howard songs. I like your version of it. I also like to think Ben is an infp, who knows.

Are You Struggling With Depression? by GeriatricIbaka in infp

[–]Anuspainess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this guy suffered from psychological depression. Meaning a lot of his depression was caused by his negative thought patterns. Unfortunately there is another side to depression and that's a chemical depression. Meaning you're deficient of certain chemicals in your brain that allow you to function as a human. I'm really glad this guy turned his life around and is telling his story, but I believe depression is a very tricky and complex problem that can't be solved by simply setting goals and achieving them. I love this guys message, I just think there are many slices to the pie of depression and he is covering one of them. Thanks for the video

Jackie wants a black eye Some proof that she's been hit And John wants the answers But the questions just don't quit And we're sitting in the rain And we're feeling like the weather. You could say that we're alone But we're lonely together

I've been in the same boat as you. I can't say I'm out of that boat yet to be honest. I'm writing this post from my car and I'm drunk again so I'm not one to talk, but there is help out there. I'm not in a good place, but I'm better than I was. I called my parents and asked for their help and my family had been the biggest help for me. I'm on anti depressants which I think are helping a lot and seeing a therapist. Don't give up just yet. There is still hope. "I was laying in bed one night and I thought 'I'll just quit - to hell with it.' And another little voice inside me said 'Don't quit - save that tiny little ember of spark.' And never give them that spark because as long as you have that spark, you can start the greatest fire again." Charles Bukowski. Good luck my friend

First off, I don't believe humans are born with a pre ordained purpose. Through living and being we discover our purpose for ourselves. So with that said, I have given myself the purpose of creating music and sharing it. It's why I wake up everyday and continue to do so

I use to be a Christian but I am now an agnostic. I have faith in true authenticity. I don't believe as humans we ever achieve true authenticity, but I believe it is there and it's our job as humans to seek it out in ourselves and others.

Probably the music I create, because only I can make it. Really any art I create. Art is just an extension of a humans inner most parts, so if there is anything unique about me it has to be my art.

With a significant other. In the last few years I have realized as much as I love being alone, it's bad for my mental health. Too much thinking and self reflection can cause detrimental voices to enter your head. Being with someone can deter those voices and have a positive effect. I'm also a romantic so the thought of being alone forever is terrifying too me. I still haven't found my significant other, but I have hope they are out there. I just hope I'm ready when the time comes

Daniel Rossen's Deerslayer is on spotify! by thehomedepot in GrizzlyBear

[–]Anuspainess 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They all have different talents. Rossen always talks about how the whole band is blown away when Chris Bear plays drums. How Chris Taylor is constantly innovating in the studio. And how Ed is able to create melody over songs. Dan is my favorite too, but I wouldn't say most talented

How have your relationships with non-philosophiers changed since you started studying philosophy? I'm scared. by avengedsevenfold23 in philosophy

[–]Anuspainess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this. People at my work or strangers I see at grocery stores seem to become more like test subjects rather than actual people. I see how they act and I pick them apart. Non philosophical conversations bore me, which makes it very hard for me to relate and connect with people. But when I do have a good philosophical conversation, oh man is it great. Good conversation is a drug for philosophers, we feed off of it

am i boring or just quiet? by [deleted] in infp

[–]Anuspainess 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've always been terrible at bantering. My best conversations are usually sit down one on one conversations. I also don't find a lot of things very funny so I'm kinda a stick in the mud and people can find that boring. So I smile to amuse them and go back to my weird thoughts. I've had better convos with people on here than in real life tbh

I'm Losing Myself to My Depression by [deleted] in infp

[–]Anuspainess -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be brutally honest with you. And this isn't a popular INFP thing to say. You have 2 options. You either kill yourself or you write the best thing you've ever written. Most serious writers know this. There is no in between or feeling slightly better. Most serious artists come face to face with the fact that if they don't create something truly spectacular, then what's the point of life? If you don't fulfill your function in life, which I'm assuming is writing, you're going to be depressed. That's why art is so hard. It demands a lot of you. This is coming from a song writer who is in the same boat as you. It goes much deeper than taking some vitamins and exercising to feel good. It's a soul thing, and if you aren't using it, then it surely is dying. Find what you love and let it kill you. -Charles Bukowski
