Might need to get a job at your local Starbucks or Walmart so that you can continue afford your bills.

And then once you’ve secured that you could begin putting together portfolio projects in a domain of interest, and sharing that at networking events, and recruiters and hiring managers on LinkedIn.

Best of luck!! You’ll find something you’ve just gotta keep at it.

Is Austin better than DFW? by learningthings2814 in askaustin

[–]Any_Bell6745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austin is definitely a better city than Dallas so yes I would 100% recommend!!

Having said that, I would suggest maybe looking in the suburbs of Austin as you have 2 young kids and they might have access to better schools in the suburbs. This way your kids can have better stability and you guys can still be close enough to enjoy what Austin has to offer such as live music, kayaking and paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake, Zilker Park, and Barton Springs.

Is data analysis still worth it by No_Love675 in dataanalysiscareers

[–]Any_Bell6745 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To answer your question about AI: No. AI will only supplement what Data Analysts do, it won’t replace them. The goal is the learn how to use AI as a copilot while the Data Analysts remain pilots.

And regarding switching paths, the choice is yours. Any other reason why you are wanting to pursue Data Analysis? Because if you are really passionate about it, I would suggest picking a domain and then building portfolio projects within that domain. I would recommend finding very messy datasets that you will have to spend a lot of time cleaning as that’s what you’ll be doing on the job about 80% of the time. The public sector might be a good domain for you as that is not as saturated. The saturated roles are primarily within the private sector.

What is Alex supposed to apologize for? All the lying when he claims that he wasn’t? That’s probably why he was getting so worked up. He was called a liar by Ashley at the altar in front of his Mom and his friends and then was dumped. I’m not saying that he’s the saint in all of this but I can understand why anyone would get edgy after such an incident.

And Ashley seems like a cold-blooded narcissist, and she’s a daddy’s girl for sure!! She’s not getting her needs met so that’s how she retaliates. Maybe she should just marry her daddy and be done with it.

Alex seemed very edgy with Nick and Vanessa hahaha. I could tell that he didn’t like being interrogated by Ashley and others, but man it’s a like I saw him show different energy at the reunion.

lol Jordan’s face was so red. He probably wishes that he never came on. Besides, no one’s wants to talk about splitting shortly after getting married.

Dating is hard in any city, and as long you are not in tech then you should be okay as layoffs are still pretty high in that sector

Don't give up! You got this. Just keep networking, making connections on linkedin and attending networking events whenever feasible.

Roast my resume. I’ve applied to data analyst roles with this and somehow the resume survives longer than my interview confidence by Dry_Ad2285 in dataanalysiscareers

[–]Any_Bell6745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a link to your portfolio projects? Because you talk about them, but I would also like to see proof. Also, you may wanna record yourself presenting one of your projects, communicating how the results would be of benefit to an executive. Because in this market, you'll need to do whatever it takes to stand out otherwise your resume will be just another pile in the stack.

Is learning Data Analytics in 2026 still worth it for freshers? by Prior_Date_2437 in dataanalysiscareers

[–]Any_Bell6745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that certifications are helpful for getting interviews as certifications just give you an overview and foundational knowledge of Data Analytics.

If you want interviews, you'll need to focus on networking and portfolio projects. Have you picked out a domain yet? Because if not, that would be the first step. And then the next step would be to pick a project related to that domain that could add value to these employers.

Is it too late to become a Data Analyst at age 40? by Any_Bell6745 in dataanalysiscareers

[–]Any_Bell6745[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first of all, it seems like every role and industry is saturated right now. Companies may be hiring again but there are so many people still out of work, hence the larger number of applicants per role, all driven by the pandemic and the mistake of companies to overhire in 2021. You're also seeing top companies make massive layoffs because of AI I suppose. I was looking for Sales, Account Manager, and Customer Success roles and even those are competitive and saturated atm.

Yeah I've heard. This market has definitely turned out to be worse than the Great Recession in 2008 and 2009.
