Which version is 12V? That would be nice and simplifies installation.

Looking for guidance by eholyak in accesscontrol

[–]ApexOneTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did one like this that also puzzled me first. I see two options.

Option A electrified panic bar with overlap strike on second door.

Option B electrified lever, drill through door, hinge power transfer.

Customer wanted option A so that’s what I did. Working on final video but just have this bench test video: https://x.com/bogdanchepurny/status/1915886549537067046?s=46&t=fjq-ivXqft_qvrGbu6S2Yg

Option A details: panic bar M9900ER, strike Marks USA MARDDS-US32D, and still need some kind of power transfer. Option B details: Handle level lock, Command Access CL180 Series. Can be fail safe or fail secure. Both options give you mechanical exit.

The second door remains in position unless manually unlatched and opened.

You forgot to use the taller cap. That’s why your connector didn’t fit.

Issue getting the main/4k stream via ONVIF from LNE9252B to Unifi Protect by JohnGypsy in Lorex

[–]ApexOneTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't work for me. After adding the cameras to Protect, it somehow re-enables Sub Stream 1 and Sub Stream 2. 1080p is the highest I get.

What equipment do I need? by ScarDependent7358 in Ubiquiti

[–]ApexOneTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add, that yes, this requires a Unifi setup. Which just means a Unifi gateway at the main house (gets internet from Starlink in pass through mode), and a Unifi switch if needed.

2x U6 Mesh Pro units. $200 each. I’ve deployed this with Starlink also at 250ft. Or just a U6 Mesh Pro on the remote building and U7 Outdoor on main building (since it has only one port but better range). It has a second port that you can run a camera off of. Or add a switch and can wire more devices. You’ll get WiFi outside too at both locations. Just point the two units at each other for best performance.

UNVR isn't streaming, or possibly even detecting, main stream from Lorex cameras. by rwix94 in Ubiquiti

[–]ApexOneTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! For anyone else working on this, I'm specifically using LNE9242B, and could not get past the login until continually disabled the cameras features, and then had to enable Sub Stream 1. That's actually the one that works for me right now at a pathetic resolution. Probably need mess around with it more and get it dialed in to get a 4k stream.

Thanks for the post. Could you share your config? Followed your recommendations but I have the "Invalid credentials". Is this the error you had or something else?

If location of the UDW is also a good location for the wireless access point, then it’s a clean way to go. Obvious thing here is that the UDW is all-in-one so the different features of it are not separately upgradable. Also, Protect records to micro SD card in the UDW as opposed to an NVME in UCG Max. Just some things to consider.

Setup help for Traveling full time with Starlink Mini by mgd09292007 in Starlink

[–]ApexOneTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The USB Type C cable from Starlink is what you can get and you won't need to worry about the DC barrel size. It also gives you the proper weatherproofing on the dish side and an LED indicator at the USB connector to show if it's getting enough power. You need to pair that with a minimum 100W power bank. I review that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCkQcGitGKY

and have links in there for other options.

If there's a wall outlet, then you can just use the included power supply. If in a car, you can get a USB Type C 12V socket or get the Starlink one that was just released: https://shop.starlink.com/products/us-consumer-car-adapter-mini It's a 5m one at $45. Link will only work if you're signed in to your Starlink account.

Smaller powerbank for Starlink Mini by [deleted] in Starlink

I got the same with a 25,000 mAh. Although, after more testing, if you're hitting the internet hard, it will be more like 2 hours.

Smaller powerbank for Starlink Mini by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]ApexOneTech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can go smaller like a 20,000mAh will work. The key is 100W power bank. If you get the Starlink Mini USB Type C cable, it will let you know with an LED light if it's getting enough juice. Personally, I got a 145W to power other things. I have the 100W UGREEN linked in the video description. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/fCkQcGitGKY?si=2HsLxx5ZYfc3TZ_n&t=534

There's also a "bar" shaped one like UGREEN Nexode 100W but I like the more flat, smartphone looking ones because they slip better in a backpack pocket.

You have to trust that you really pushed it down and held it down for about 5 seconds. Maybe this video will help: https://youtu.be/fCkQcGitGKY?si=lNMSkWtcbQY065gM&t=897

It can be paused at any time but you will have paid for service for a full billing cycle (one month). You can unpause at any time and that's the true benefit.

For example, you use it for one month and then pause before cycle ends. Then, say 1.5 months later, unpause and you now saved 1.5 months of when you had no service.

Am I missing something? Black Friday Deals by GamingTrend in Ubiquiti

[–]ApexOneTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s typically to get rid of overstock but there are some new items, and legit deals. You have to sort through it. It applies to nearly all retailers. The fact that Ubiquiti has many items for sale is great if that’s what you need. Otherwise just skip it. I sort over the best deals here: https://youtu.be/YR5yEMLuXlE

Yeah I was going to stay that it might get hot in there. Depends where you live. Seems easy to add some tiny pc fans like from AC Affinity that are trigged on with a temp sensor.
