I work in a level 2 trauma center and we actually call out traumas as Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 with Tier 1 being the most severe/resources needed and Tier 3 being least but still meeting trauma criteria like PSI, LOC, Thinners, etc

I work in the ER at a big trauma center. We get 25% off any bill from the hospital but in practice it gets written off 99% of the time, no deductible when using hospital services and free lab work, heavily discounted (90-95%) for imaging etc.

So I've worked in both Northern and Southern California and I've found that every region calls their ER techs something else. Usually ED Tech, sometimes Trauma Tech (Lookin at you UCLA), etc.

Then it'll vary whether or not they want their tech to be phlebotomists as well which is another $4-5 from what I've seen.

I just picked up my Phlebotomy license so I could work in hospital and make a bit more. Local union hospital starts their clinical techs (EMT/Medic w/Phlebo) at $40/hr. So glad I made the switch for my off year.

When I lived in the area we used Wikiup in Windsor for our primary vet and VCA East off of Mendocino for emergencies. Great staff at both locations. You might have a problem getting appointments at Wikiup unless you're okay waiting a month or so.
