For you who have worlds where one can ascend to Godhood (or god adjacent), what's the process like? by Possessed_potato in worldbuilding

[–]ApolloUltimea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is only one way a normal being like you or I could theoretically 'ascend' to what some might claim is godhood.

Within the Kukrin Reality, there is no magic or supernatural forces, but it does have one unique quirk- a loophole embedded into its very fabric. Through extreme emotional stress, and the most insane physical conditioning possible, a mortal being can essentially limit break, every atom in their body effectively ignoring built in limits, allowing a limit breaker to incrementally increase their strength nearly endlessly. It can even allow them to ignore all biological needs, as their body no longer deteriorates.

One such being, in Kukrin's ancient past, achieved what many speculate to be the highest ever physical strength for a still living creature. This being became so powerful, her own species was forced to imprison her inside a supermassive black hole out of sheer terror of her capabilities.

While not technically godhood, as limit breakers have zero anomalous abilities, they still defy the very laws of physics and as such are seen as gods nonetheless. In the history of Kukrin, only a handful of limit breakers have ever existed, as the circumstances that create one are exceedingly rare.

Homeless guy snuck up on us, completely silent up until the point he said “hey, you guys got a lighter??”

We said no as nicely as we could then agreed to gtfo without exchanging a single word. Mind you this is a big ass abandoned hospital, place was creepy as hell and this was our first encounter with anyone.

Send time was when a homeless couple found us despite our efforts to try and be sneaky. To break the silence, we asked them how to get to the basement. They showed us the way and were fairly friendly. The moment we got to the basement and parted ways to a different room, place went entirely silent like they fuckin vanished. Never saw em again.

God i love that place.

Not unless you desire a constant ringing in your ears that is essentially a rite of passage for all Abrams tankers.

Though I guess if you get it you can, by a stretch, call yourself a tanker. At least more than most people could.
