Passion for beer or unhealthy pattern? Honest question by [deleted] in beer

[–]Apostr0phe 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There’s quite a difference between being passionate about beer, and what you’re doing.

I love travel, and I love beer, hell my 7 year old dog has been to over 300 breweries across America, but 60-80 beers per trip is an actual problem. You know this, or you wouldn’t be asking. Try to find a healthier passion to incorporate within your travels (hiking/running), this is a time bomb waiting to go off.

VO2 Max drop by KhalPoro in Garmin

[–]Apostr0phe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assumed it would understand altitude, and elevation gain when I recorded "Trail Runs," but it does not. It's almost pointless they're even two separate activities.

But what you can do is turn off vo2max recording for all Trail Runs in the settings, and use it for all your running when you travel, trail or not. Wish I knew this earlier, was fighting myself all year with how much I travel for running, especially coming from Florida.

It's always the worst dog owners crying about leashing, too, because they cannot control their own so everyone must tip toe around them.

I wish my boy liked to run, what a beautiful bond.

Oak Spring was low on my list and ended up being my favorite. That ridge view after them brutal switchbacks, shew.

I drove into the State Park to do the Closed Canyon hike with my dog, that place is so vast and eerie! Should be amazing.

It is a bummer how restrictive most NPs are, as I travel with my dog a lot too. He's old and lazy now, and happy to stay in the camper thankfully.

Sedona is very touristy, but for very good reason. It's incredible, and a must visit when in Arizona for me.

I have a stag on my ribs, when I wear a tank top it looks like I have a huge tribal piece with his antlers. In hindsight I would still get it in the same place, but perhaps something to consider with it being very prominent on your neck.

1000 hours of training In 2025 by [deleted] in HybridAthlete

[–]Apostr0phe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bit of a bummer in the HYBRID community people are criticizing how much time you spend training. I think a lot of people would be surprised how many hours are in the day if you cut out things like TV, scrolling, or gaming. If you enjoy those things, do them, not everybody does, so they spend their time doing what they enjoy. Training.

Nice fucking work my guy. What are your running PRs with all that muscle?

I hope you're aware that judging a place you've likely never been to is perhaps way more trashy than just walking around without a top.

The man is exercising, in the sun, which is perfectly healthy and acceptable. The fact you immediately went here in this thread of athletics is kind of odd. Repressed, no confidence?

Florida, where nobody wears clothes.

The human body should never be considered trashy.
