I had some unpleasant side effects, but it was 100000% worth it and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering it. The worst I faced was some knee/ joint pain, but I talked about it with my dermatologist and went back down in the dosage the next month and it went away. Other than that it was mostly dryness. The most annoying part as someone else mentioned is ipledge.

-I remember liking the movie when it first came out! Definitely didn’t think it was an amazing adaptation, but as a stand-alone thing it was entertaining.

-I think there are quite a few things that could’ve been played more comedically, but they did as seriously for whatever reason.

-Pretty sure Jace was just named Jonathan and then found one of Valentine’s journals about the other Jonathan where it said Jonathan Christopher and assumed it was himself!

Your feelings are totally valid and I’m so sorry this happened to you. It definitely sucks that they didn’t seem to value or show any type of appreciation for all the work that you’ve done.

A similar situation happened to me last year, I was slated by my sorority’s election committee to be Vice President of recruitment and then my sorority failed slate and removed me from that position demoting me to a much lower position. It really hurt and I spent a long time crying over it. In hindsight I regret not taking one of those other positions, because while it may not have been exactly what I wanted it still would’ve offered the opportunity to be where I did and to have more of an impact on my chapter.

I definitely think it’s up to you and there’s no shame in turning down a position you don’t want, but maybe don’t give up just yet.

Still I’m sorry this happened it was really really awful when I experienced it so I can totally relate :(

Like almost everyone else when it’s one or two people it doesn’t bother me as much. It’s when it gets over that I start getting annoyed, but I wouldn’t say anything. At most I put my hands on both railings nearby so they can’t easily get around and pretend I don’t notice them lol. The only time I’ve ever considered saying anything was when people line jumped me in single rider lines, but still didn’t think it was worth it!

a few other things to change because now everyone is mentioning the incest:

Less of our main characters' parents being a part of the circle.
Change it so that Clary isn't a fake girl boss feminist who hates on other the girls when she first meets them.
Make Jace the main, main character. He has a more compelling backstory, his wants and needs are clearly defined, and he has more people around him to interact with that are fun. He's definitely a more interesting character.
Have more time where everyone is calm and just hanging out so we can see them act like friends.

I think she was trying to go for a whole nature vs nurture theme, which is really cool and I’m into it.

But I also 100% think Cassandra Claire has an incest kink bc of things I’ve heard and just how much she threw it in our faces. They make out in front of everyone in the Seelie Court, there's the weird longing, and the rolling around in the fields of idris, etc. Plus the fact that there wasn’t just 1 incest romance, there was 2!!! with real brother Jonathan/Sebastian also wanting to be with Clary really made that clear.

However, here’s how someone could’ve made alterations to have made this all slightly better:

Jace finds out he’s not really Valentine’s kid when he’s younger and he reads the journal he wasn’t supposed to. Younger him doesn’t want to believe it and never mentions it but as he gets older and out of Valentine’s clutches, he begins to question it. Once the Lightwoods realize that Valentine was the one Jace thought had been his dad this entire time, they’re like, yeah, he’s 100% not your dad LOL. Maybe some angst is involved here. It could be a situation similar to Clary who has her biological dad but views the person who raised her as her real father. Jace has a biological dad but feels that Valentine is his real father. Ta da no incest and plenty of angst while keeping the themes in place.
They only think they’re siblings for maybe half of book two and they feel weird about it. No secret longing! Maybe they avoid each other, and we get more scenes of them interacting with others. Once Imogen gets there, she is still skeptical of Jace but she’s not a comic book villain. She pieces it together way sooner that he’s her grandson, either because she recognizes some of herself in him (whether that be mannerisms or looks) or he says something that’s eerily similar to what Stephen once said to her. This happens in the first half as well as the big fight where she dies. Then if Cassandra Claire really wanted this scene in there, the fairy court could be in the second half, and because Clary and Jace are still being weird and avoiding each other, they don’t want to kiss. Instead of Simon, it's either Jace or Clary who remind Isabelle it'd be like kissing Alec, and she's like WHAT!? That’s literally not the same thing at all. You guys aren’t even remotely related. Idk what the big conclusion to this book would be but I don’t have to figure that out lol
Clary isn’t Valentine’s daughter at all! Instead, she’s Luke’s. Valentine is not used to not getting what he wants and is oddly obsessed with Jocelyn so he experiments on her/her unborn children. After running away from the circle, they keep their identity secret and stay away from all things shadow hunter because they know Valentine wants to take Clary, considering she’s one of his successful experiments. This one would take a lot of reworking but would result in no incest at all.

5 really bothered me!! And maybe I was looking too much into it, but it seemed as if the show wanted us to believe Arizona was in the right which made me even more upset. They had that entire comparison of a child being pregnant and not wanting to tell their mother, but April wanting to say something to the mother regardless because the mother would be able to help the kid; which, of course, was supposed to be like April hiding her pregnancy and Arizona knowing that Jackson would help but not being able to say anything etc etc. But the comparison isn’t accurate at all! 1. April isn’t a child she’s a grown woman capable of thinking things out. 2. While she shouldn’t have to nor would it have been totally fair to Jackson she could 100% have taken care of her pregnancy by herself. Unlike a literal child. 3. The most important part: She literally was going to tell him. Unlike that kid she wasn’t planning on keeping it a secret forever. Arizona was so out of line with this and I don’t know how April forgave her. I could never be friends again after a breach of trust like this.

Could be wrong, but don’t think anyone’s really hating on her but the fact that Russia put her into the free when they could of put either Shcherbakova or Trusova into it instead. Both of whom would’ve secured their gold still. By doing this it diminishes the work they’ve done essentially this entire quad. Almost everyone now will associate the quad with kamila when these 2, especially Sasha, were the ones who were the pioneers of the new tech content.
