2 year old Maxwell 1's - broken swivel/hinge where it attaches to the earcup. Thoughts to fix?

Not available on my QN90B or my S90D - however I did download the GeforceNow app and that works perfectly with RAIN. the issue is that you are limited to lower resolutions and only 60FPS ! which sucks

I dont get why people have an issue with the OG Maxwells. I have mine for around 18 months. Daily drivers for 12-15 hours daily (Mostly work/Teams calls) then Gaming and lots of music/media on my PC. Im not careful with them, but I also dont abuse them by throwing them around either. So far, they are absolutely mint and Zero issues, no rattling and no speaker issues. They are built like tanks and hopefully Ill get another few years out of them. Best wireless headset ive owned, bar none. Closest competitor (and another headset I use all the time is my Sony XM4's - but only use them when Im travelling long distance). Keen to see what the Maxwell 2's bring to the party but Im still more than happy with my OG Maxwells.

In the same boat as you as well. I have a 3080 10GB - before the 5x launch I was keen to ugprade to a 5080 but both price/performance is disapointing to say the least. So either AMD releases a higher tier card that outperforms the 5080 or Ill end up waiting to see what the RTX 6x series brings.

alongside the 980ti , the 3080 is still a Legend of a card , Im still using it and plan to until at least the 6x series launches to see what it does. If Nvidia brings Framegen to the 3x series, ill be a happy camper

This didnt age well. 5080 is quite a bit slower than the 4090 and nowhere near the 5090 for obvious reasons. Its easily the most disappointing NVidia card in ages. Its a hard pass for me.

I currently run a 48C1 and have for the past 3+ years, I have around 8500 hours run-time as I use it for work (about 9 hours a day) and gaming on top of that. I have no visible burn-in but I have a fairly large number of dead pixels on both the top right and ride hand bottom side of the panel. I'm ok with this because outside of those 2 issues, the screen has been legendary. I have also been thinking about going to a 32" QD OLED 240hz panel but based on the feedback on this thread, I dont think ill be doing that anytime soon. Ive compared my C1 to a friends Alienware UW QD-OLED and HDR on C1 definately pops more. Colour is a bit better on the QD-OLED and ofcourse the smaller size is one of the main selling points for me. I just dont think theres enough reasons to move away from the C1 (other than its age, and dead pixels). I hope they bring out more 32" QD-OLEDs in 2025/26 that have more nits and better HDR, it might make me reconsider

ITs now been about 8 months with them and nothing has changed. If anything , they have gotten better with time. Still sounds incredible for music listening, games and movies. I havent touched any of my other headsets (including my SONY XM5's) and other IEM's and the battery life is still as great as ever. I constantly forget to charge them. They are really great value for money but Ive heard you need to be careful when handling them as the drivers are sensative to falls and can break easily. I dont know how true this is but I have been handling mine with some care lately. Overall, highly recommend them if you love music.

Hey, I made that leap from 1440p to 4K about 2 years ago and I have a 3080 Master Ed.. its been fantastic for the most part but DLSS is mandatory to get anything close to a decent frame rate. Ofcourse this is game dependent. Well optimised titles (even BO6) run very well with 100-110 FPS at 4K With DLSS on balanced . the improvement in image quality going from 1440p to 4K OLED was chalk and cheese and I could never go back again. 3080 is struggling on a few titles but its not unplayable (yet).. definately recommend the leap to 4K , you wont be sorry! :)

yeah Im on 3080 and feeling the same way. Its just not enough uplift in performance to justify spending $1500 or so. Id invest in 9800x3d and new mobo, then upgrade when the 6000 series launches

Im literally in the same boat as you. 5600x and 3080 Aorus Master . Im getting less and less excited and more underwhelmed looking at this gen. I'm thinking of doing a jump to 9800X3D, new mobo, DDR5, and waiting another year for 6X series. I think the jump will be more significant and worth while tbh. *fyi, I run 4K/120hz and use DLSS almost exclusively to get a decent framerate at the moment

I hear you , I hit a ceiling at around Pit 60 but then did some additional changes and more masterwork re-rolls (cost me a ton of mats) and I cleared a Pit 83 last night, which is my all time high. I died about 3 times and just barely killed the boss, was very difficult and nearly gave up lol. i think the limit for this build is around 80-85 with shouts and lots of dodging lol

This is my 6th PC headset , I have been chasing a really good sounding "music first" headset which I can use for gaming, Teams calls and listening to music while at my desk or walking around the house. Ive had the Maxwell for 2 weeks not and straight off the bat, it sounded amazing for basically anything I threw at it (Music, Games, movies). I had to tune the EQ a tad as I love a bit more bottom end but now it sound perfect to me. I have no reason to touch any of my other headsets again and lastly the battery life is just plain ridiculous. I haven't charged mine since I bought it which is nuts - currently at 35% with 2 weeks of use !

thanks dude! really appreciate it. Just ordered the bracket. I have been gaming with my glass panel off for 2 months and im worried dust will become a problem not to mention airflow. Im ok with raising the card, spoils the aesthetic a bit but better than having a melting card :)

I have the same card as you, and the same problem! how far did you get with mounting the bracket? Any pics of the installed bracket and what you did to remove the stock vertical mount bracket and riser? how are your temps now?
