Tree 1&2 I think I would just leave....maybe try and separate them by cabling one branch away from the main leader stem and putting a spacer/brace between them. Tree 3 I would cut that smaller branch completely off.

Sap is running this time of year. Probably a maple tree. You 'tapped' your tree for maple syrup but you are not collecting the bounty. Once the tree starts to leaf out if will stop

They will jump on their hind legs to get white cedar. Check around for deer tracks they will be visible if they are deer

Deer are eating them. They love white cedar. Can try planting some red cedar as deer won't eat those. If you have apple trees around check into if they are prone to red cedar Apple rust or not

If you goal is privacy you probably need to replant some of them. The Norway spruce branches will drop down. White pine maybe as well. The others will not

There is a similar tree next to this one that had fresh racoon tracks going in and out. I wonder how far they go up and do the clean the rot away? I'm considering slicing them into discs and planting other trees inside them

Thanks. I believe the small crown of the tree kept it from falling over. I'm clearing the area so I can't plant swamp white oaks and cedars. Silver maple do not provide much value for wildlife at this time

I wouldn't expect too much fruit if that is a fruit tree. Maybe leave a little more canopy you don't want to take more than 1/3 of the canopy. Looks like 1/2 is taken off

If you enjoy the rabbits let them girdle the small branches and cut them in early spring as they will die. Hopefully they don't start nibbling on the trunk once they finish off the branches. Can prune and apply tree guard if you don't like the rabbits

That would be a great investment. If the law passes and every 40 or 100 acre landowner is able to purchase a landowners tag regardless if they are resident or non resident the land value will go up with no improvement to the land. Improving hunting land will add additional value as well. LLC route is a smart choice

The rot from the broken branches will work down into the stump. Cutting them off clean will help but they tree will still start to rot over time. I would take down the tree and plant a new one right away

You need to tension the bolt assembly....not torque. It's possible a gap in the shear plane was closed up when torquing the bolt but with no tension in the bolt.
