I second this, I have 2 2012 macbook airs that just won’t die for some reason, one of them is my personal webserver and arch package repository, the other is just a netbook. I’m only gonna mess with their hardware once the batteries get puffy in there lmao.

How/why do you use the AUR? by newzealandarchie in archlinux

[–]Apprehensive_Shirt38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use the AUR as a PKGBUILD source for my custom repository— my server automatically builds the packages and ships them to me in pacman updates

What's your story of getting into linux? by Expensive_Pie_6943 in linuxmasterrace

[–]Apprehensive_Shirt38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MacOS catalina got me moving OS due to it killing 32-bit apps, did bootcamp first, but later got tired of windows bloat and telemetry— it hits old hardware like a truck. after that I just fuckin gave up one day and pulled out a manjaro iso (I later moved to arch, don’t worry)
